Best way to 'detax' after H in Europe

Great Britain since brexit.
okay, I just read an article since Brexit isn't official yet you can claim your detaxe upon leaving any EU country.
But I would ask around to be sure. Hope you can do it all in Paris, their system is easier than at Heathrow. You will lose a small percentage for detaxe outside any country where you purchased the goods. Purchased in England, detaxe in France.

Hi, am new to this thread, am sorry to ask a question which may have appeared earlier (takes a bit of time to read the pages). Would prices in Hermes CDG airport be as per website prices and we would still need to claim back the VAT, or are the prices already lowered (minus VAT)?My DH will be in France but doesn't want to drop by Paris, so the nearest store is at the airport (need to advise him). Thanks in advance!

The prices at the airport are slightly less than online because the VAT has been deducted and you don't need to go through the VAT refund process.

If I purchase from Paris and taking a train to London, is there a detox location at the train station or do I detax at
LHR since I will be flying out from London? Thank you

You do your detaxe/tax refund at LHR as it's your last stop in the EU. While the UK is still in the EU, that is - post Brexit the whole train system will change.

I do not have the answer to your question but I think you should edit your post to exclude the part of the photo which shows your name and passport number.

Guys, I have an odd situation. After shopping in Paris, I did my detax in Munich as that was where I departed. I gave the officer all the paperwork from H as instructed. She gave me back the buyer's copies (3 copies, for 3 separate purchases). Now I'm back in Singapore and found out the bracelet I bought is defective. I brought it to my SG store for exchange with the buyer's copy I am left with, and they told me that is just the tax form, I should have an actual receipt as well. But I don't? I'm thinking it was clipped together with the tax stuff and the tax officer took it? Is that normal?

(SG store says they will email Sevres for the receipt and the exchange should be no problem.)

On my visits to Paris H I receive the form that gets sent in and scanned by Pablo (it is long and skinny and has your passport number, Doc ID etc), a copy of that form (usually the H cashier writes "Keep" on that), the envelope for global blue, an instruction form (sheet of paper) and the H receipt. I wonder if the staff in MUC took all of your paperwork and just gave you back the VAT refund receipt?

I think that's what happened. The MUC customs officer was a really rude young woman who screamed at everyone who had to talk to her. The tax counter officer was a really nice lady and very helpful. I'm not really sure who took what and when though... I simply assumed they knew what they were doing. Now I know I need to be more aware.

Did your H receipt come in the white cardboard or was it just the slip of paper?
