Best way to clean Patent leather?

You two are right- the straps are rather "jingle-y" but I am adjusting. :tup:

Be careful with that tape trick - I just remembered another thread a while ago where a teacher had a child put a sticker on her red patent ergo, and when she removed it, the sticker took off some of the patent coating and it left a dull spot. That was the ergo crinkle patent, though, but just a word to the wise... :yes:
 
Hey all,

I stumbled upon this forum after searching for a remedy for my beige patent Kate Spade heels.

WD-40 works like a CHARM for removing scuff marks...as does mineral oil. I didn't have any luck with petroleum jelly (vaseline), but that could have been the particular type of patent I have (not sure).

As for pen marks, I didn't have any luck with the tape remedy...but maybe that's because I let the marks sit too long before trying to get the marks out.

Damp cotton cloth is all that is need and your bag will last.. These bags are not intended for anything else... I have two older Ergos and that is what I do and they are in perfect condition..
