Any update on the prices of this store? (LV Incheon Airport) Should it be cheaper by now because it is tax free?

Luxury goods in general are marked up in Korea. You can check the korean prices on LV's webiste but its in korean and the prices are higher than CDN prices. However, if you do the conversion (whatever it is right now which is about $1CDN = $1120 Won) the price in korea is still slightly higher ($50 to $100 approx) compared to here when I calculate the prices here with tax (13% for ON)

So my conclusion is, at the the Incheon duty free, the prices would be slightly lower than the posted prices on LV's korean site so after converting the prices to CDN dollars, the prices may just be pretty much the same as Canada but minus the taxes.

I will actually be visiting Seoul in march so i can provide an update for the prices when i get back :)

Any update on the prices of LV in Incheon?

I went to the LV @ Incheon earlier this year. Very beautiful Boutique, but prices are not better than Boutiques in US. I was on my way to Hawaii where LV prices are better than Mainland prices so I just walked around the Boutique to check out the eye candy.

I just bought an Alma PM (Epi Leather Indigo) in Incheon Airport. The price is less than 10 USD in the US Website. But of course if you buy it in a US boutique store it will have an additional sales tax. So definitely less than US boutiques

Will go Korea soon and would like to know is the LV store in Incheon Airport tax free? How cheaper would it be?

Thank you in advanced

My husband just got me a Bergamo pm and DE small agenda from Incheon on Jan. 9th this year and there are no sales tax. It was the same price from the US website, but he saved the sales tax. Hope this answer your question... :)

Just visited the Incheon LV duty free and bought the new vernis Ana clutch. In the US, the clutch is $1,640 plus tax (which would make it more like $1770). in Incheon, the same bag was $1,620 with NO tax (as it is duty free). I also looked at a Rossmore and a Chaine, and both were around $20 cheaper than US prices. The difference is really in the sales tax.

HOWEVER, something to consider- even if you purchase goods at a duty free and exceed your country's (or the country you're buying in) duty free exception (in the US it's $800), you will have to pay a flat rate of 3% for any amount exceeding $800. Even with that 3% duty you'd have to pay, it's still cheaper in Incheon.

ALso, another side note- I seem to have gotten lucky and was NOT charged a 3% duty even though I exceeded the duty-free exception, don't know if there was a specific reason or if it was just overlooked. Either way, long story short, it is cheaper at the LV in Incheon! AND it's a really fun experience. Truly, if you are from the US, the best place to get cheap LV is in Hawaii. I purchased a mono delightful MM, and it was $100 cheaper, and there was a lower sales tax (4%, rather than the 8% percent in a lot of other places). For the more expensive models like the Epi, Vernis, or Empreinte line, the price difference is even more, such as $200-300.

HI CDJD,
Do you remember if the LV boutique had their full collection? I am looking to purchase a wallet and was wondering if they carried all or most the models. Thanks!

Oops sorry for the delay!! I don't think it's a "maison" which indicates the full collection. However, it seemed like they had a lot of stuff! What are you looking for?

No worries! I was looking for a wallet. Preferrably one of their compact ones! Is it still cheaper to buy at duty free or a store in the U.S?
