except i'd like to say for the face that noses should be left un-done , unless you have really serious problem with your nose like it's badly deviated or it's really huge.
because rhino has got a high risk for the need of a revision

Hi everyone! I e-mailed Banobagi, ITEM, VIP, and Oz. I had only received replies from Banobagi and VIP. Here is what they wrote when I gave them my pictures:

The first e-mail is from VIP

Hi Kaity,

Thanks for sending your pictures to us and I’ve showed them to Dr. Lee and this is what he said:



"From the front view it is clear that she has a bulbous tip and wide alar base.

She might have slight deviation but I will have to check in-person to see if she has deviation inside her nose.

Her mouth also looks protruded from the side view because her bridge is low and nose is short.

In order to correct the external appearance and function of the nose, I would have to perform rib cartilage graft rhinoplasty for her.

Rib cartilage graft rhinoplasty would give the satisfying final result for her as there is not much structure of her nose.

Rib cartilage #7 is the straightest and most sufficient material for full autologous graft rhinoplasty.

I would have to incise 3-4 cm underneath the breast line and use endoscope to harvest the rib cartilage.

Not only it is most safe, the final result will be permanent and very natural than any other method.

The downside is the recovery phase. Unlike silicon materials where only skin needs time to recover.

For full rib cartilage graft rhinoplasty, both skin and cartilage needs time to heal and absorb. Since rib cartilage is the thickest material among autologous tissue graft rhinoplasty, it takes more time to heal.

Most of the patients' swelling goes down in 2 weeks but the final result has to wait for at least 6 months or a year.

After 2-3 months patient's nose swelling will go down and the result will start to show better and better.



Her mid face area is also depressed in, so for a better enhancement, I highly recommend her to have paranasal augmentation along with rhinoplasty.

Paranasal augmentation is to fill in the depressed nasolabial folds so one's nose can look more definite and have more youthful looking face.



If she would like to achieve a slim oval face, she will need mandible reduction - long cut and zygoma reduction.

Mandible short cut is cutting only the small angle but long cut is reducing from under the ear to chin area. The incision will be inside the mouth, so that there won't be any visible scar.

I can see that her zygoma is protruded, and will need zygoma reduction fixation method.

For fixation method, I will reduce her cheek bone, and fix it with special fine medical wire, which is the best material to fix the bones together very tightly.

The material is better than any others, since it is not be able to feel it very easily like screws and the fixation is very good. Zygoma reduction is like mandible reduction, the incision will be intra-oral.



After those procedures, I think she will become very pretty.”



The surgical costs for those procedures are:

Rib cartilage rhinoplasty USD9, 500

Paranasal augmentation USD2, 000

Zygoma reduction USD6, 300

Mandible reduction USD7, 300

All include anesthesia.



The recovery for all the procedures will be about 2 weeks depends on your body condition after the surgery.

I feel like VIP is really descriptive in their opinions. But I feel like they are trying to remodify my whole entire face which is what I don't want. I have looked at other pages from this forum and have heard about Dr. Lee performing rib cartilage rhinoplasty. I am not sure if I should be able to trust VIP since they basically said similar surgeries to most people. And what is this rib cartilage rhinoplasty? Is it a good method in getting a nose job?

This is what Banobagi wrote to me:
Dear Kaity,
In our opinion,that you should do facial outline surgery that includes angle extra,zygomatic bone and genio.In that way,your face will look much beautiful.It costs 14500000~16500000 in Korean Currency.But if you have budget constraints,you could just do angle extra and zygomatic bone which costs 11000000~12500000.
About your nose,we suggest that you do rhnio and reduction of alar.It costs 4500000~5000000.

Can you give the details on what is angle extra and genio? I feel that my zygomatic bone area is normal and I don't want it fixed. Will it be okay without fixing that part? I am mainly concerned about my jaw area and not the cheekbones. Is there any other solutions as well to make a more slimmer and narrower looking face at a cheaper price? For rhinoplasty, how will the procedure go? I also want a nice tip to my nose. Would that cost extra money just to make the tip?

This part kind of ticked me off a bit, they wrote:

Here is the thing.The surgeries that I suggested are about your jaw area.For now,your cheekbone is fine.However,after you rebuilt your jaw/genio,your cheekbone will look bigger for you.The reason why I suggested you do cheekbone is that I hope everything on your face is balanced.Of course you can choose not to fix it if you don't want to.Angle extra is about to shaping and cutting the bones of your angle,in this way,you face will look slimmer and narrower.Rhinoplasty is using silicone implant to make your nose bridge higher.And we also think it's necessary to do reduction of alar because it looks a little bit big.If you like pointy nose tip,we can use nose cartilage to rebuilt it.Unfortunately,nose tip costs extra money because it is different surgery from nose bridge surgery.
How about you think about my suggestion first,and then tell me what surgery that you are interested in.Maybe I can give you a discount,but the exact price will be given to you after you consult with our doctor.

I feel like both clinics are telling me to do so much reconstruction on my face. And they both don't run cheap at all! I feel that Banobagi is forcing out their opinions on me.:cry: What do you guys think about this issue? Do you think they are just plainly telling me to do this much just for the money? :/ I am only interested in rhinoplasty and facial contouring. Cheekbone reduction is not something I am interested in at all. Can anyone suggest me other good clinics that won't tell you to do this much for money?
