hi ferraMax,

i think every case will be different and so will the price range. the price Banobagi quoted you for septal and silicone seem pretty average compare to other clinic. i assume you are virgin case and that this will be your first nose job. if it is, then the price will surely be cheaper. the price BK quoted me were for revision nose job. they quoted me USD$ 6000 for septal cartilage, narrowing for the alar, lengthening of the nose, remove scar tissue formation, and the use of something from the back to form the bridge of my nose. so its quite an extensive amount of work that need to be done. so 6K in my opinion is quite fair, not cheap but fair.

since you prefer to go all natural with your nose, i suggest you first speak with Dr ho of BK. seek his advice and suggestion. i am not pushing you for BK since i am not earning incentive for recommending BK. its just base on your need that i suggest that if you get the opportunity to visit korea, drop by BK first. since you're a virgin case, the cost might be a whole lot cheaper than USD$6K. you might get a better deal if you able to meet with the surgeon face and to face. like you said, BK has free accomodation that you can stay up to 5 days if you're doing nose. consider hotel in korea cost an average of USD$100 a night, you got your discount right there.

both banobagi and ITEM has yet to responde to my email. so i can't tell you which one i would go for. at this point, i would choose niether. but if i have to choose one over another, ITEM seem very reasonable in term of their cost.

hope this help
shane, you mean dr.Shin, Yong Ho or dr.Yoon, Jung Ho at BK?

thanks for your info shane, well this is not my first nose job, this is going to be the 3rd actually another revision, i got infected and removed my implant 2 weeks ago remember.
vip did mention to me that once it got infected it will easily get infection again in the future, that's why i'm very concern about finding the right surgeon. Dr.Kim is actually coming to malaysia for consultation i think i will try to pay a visit to him here first. so when you went to BK for your eyelid revision that time did first contact them through email and make appointment online? or you just decide to have surgery with them after the consultation over there? how's your eyelid recovering? any obvious scar? what did they gave you during surgery L/A sedation? did you feel any pain during surgery or you just felt to sleep? can you pls tell me more i really like to know. is this dr.oh really good on eyelid and nose surgery? i was thinking to have my eyelid adjust they are uneven or maybe to have a magic epic, but all this will see how the nose consultation goes. so about the free accommodation at BK i mean do we need to pay money in advance like a deposit for the surgery then only they will provide it, how do you feel about the guesthouse?

hi Ferramax,

i don't know which clinic told you that your nose will easily get infected again in the future if you decide to redo your nose. base on personal experience, infection are usually the case of poor hygiene on the part of the surgeon or the patient. as long as the surgeon properly sterilise the equipment before the procedure, your chance of having an infection is pretty minimal. of course you have to watch out for your own hygiene as well. just wait until your infection has clear up before doing your nose again. proper precaution is usually 3 to 6 months after you had your transplant removed.

i made my appointment via email. they ask for a deposit to reserve the guest house. i pretty much have my mind set to do my eyelid at BK. so it was just a matter of negotiating the price. my surgeon for my eyelid is not Dr kim. so i'm not really sure how useful the arrival of Dr kim to malaysia will be to you. every surgeon practice their own method and technique when it comes to doing ps. so i can't guarantee you that the surgical technique that Dr ho employed will be the same as Dr Kim.

my eyelid is recovering pretty good. there is still some minor redness hidden under the fold, but its not noticable unless seen from up close. i still apply the medication on a daily basis to reduce any sign of scaring and swelling. but everything is coming along really great.

i was given sedation through needle IV which put me to sleep for a while. when i woke up 10 minute after, the area around my eye is already numb. so i was completely awake through out the entire procedure. i was aware of the cutting, but i did not feel any pain. there were slight pressure at time but its tolerable. i wouldn't worry too much about the pain. i would be more concern about the result. i would say that the pain for me is non exsitence. but then this isn't my first eyelid surgery. i can assure you that the pain is very, very minimal.

its always best to do a a face to face consultation with the surgeon. he will know more on what is needed to be done when he see you in person. no, its not Dr oh. its Dr Shin Yong Ho. i had magic epi done when i didn't even know that i need it. so the surgeon will tell you what you need as oppose to what you want.

you usually have to pay a deposit to reserve your guest house, but i didn't. i only pay for everything once i reach the clinic. the guest house is alright i guess. not a luxury hotel and its not the cleanest guest house i ever stayed in. but there is free wife and a fridge. the best thing about it is that its only walking distance from the clinic. so you save a ton of money on transportation.

hope this help.

Hi Xvx666, is me again. I would like to know if I just got my double eyelid and Lower blepharoplasty done, is 12 days enough?? I am from US and my family in HK. Should I get them done before i visit them? If i still have bruises around my eyes / face ?? Thanks for your time!
:ty:

Hi kiwilola,

Yeah I think 12 days is enough. I stayed for 19 days when I had my nose and eyes done. I was already looking fine on the 10th day. So there shouldn't be a problem.

Swelling will be really serious on the 2nd~7th day. When are you visiting Seoul and when are you visiting your family in HK?

Hello guys! I decided to get plastic surgery done to my eyes on a whim, I figured I graduated college, perfect time to get it done before I start my career. Plastic surgery is rare amongst my group of friends but the 2 that I know that got eyelid surgery done, one had the procedure done in the city by a white doctor who had extravagant advertisements and seeing their end result honestly scared me and one recommended VIP plastic surgery to me and she had much better results (much cheaper too than NYC!). I bought a ticket to Korea, figuring...go to Korea where they are known for their plastic surgery and they know how to operate on asian faces. I just wanted a natural crease on my eyelid that will be permanent and not undo itself. I had very thick hooded monolids. I went to a couple consultations in Korea such as BK and Oz as mentioned here, their consultations did not seem sincere to me, not to mention that my korean is very broken and english is my language of choice. I felt they were not understanding my vision. Choosing a place got me more nervous and anxious and the competition between these places are steep since they are all located next to each other. I chose VIP because I felt like during my consultation, I was understood (not to mention some speak english!) The service was top notch (maybe thats why they call it VIP?)from the moment I stepped in. The place is also very clean and very well maintained and they are bustling with clients (it was also summer vacation, when most people decide to do ps) which made me feel that they were well experienced, both doctors also have years put into the practice and teach it as well in medical schools. I was given a private room to calm down and wash my face. I hate needles and I cant stand hospitals. I am probably the worst and most scared when it comes to these kinds of things. I can't even get a blood test done without thinking about it the night before and not being able to sleep! Even though the room was inviting, fully equipped with a bed, computer and tv, I sat on the sofa just staring at the wall until the friendly nurse told me it was time to go to the surgery floor. The surgery took about 2 hours for me since I went for the incision method and I had a lot of fat in my lids which he had to remove. I can truely say that the only part that hurt was at the beginning when he gave me 4 shots to numb the area around my eye. The shots took about 1 minute but they hurt and I was soo scared so the nurse held me hand. During the procedure I felt like the doctor was very thorough and made me feel at ease. I had to ask the doctor if he even started to make the incisions because I did not feel a thing! It was amazing and even when he started to stitch it, I did not feel one thing. 2 hours went by fast, I didn't even know I was in there for 2 hours until I asked what time it was when he was done. I couldn't see much and my vision was very blurry, the nurse led me to my room and she laid me down upright with a frozen eye pad. I ended up falling asleep and woke up 2 hours later where they served me lunch. I figured after a couple of hours after the anesthesia from the shots wore off, I would be in pain, but it was kind of odd that I wasn't! I was given antibiotic eye ointment to apply to my lid and nausea pills but I didn't need to take the nausea pills. 3 days after I had an appointment to remove the stitches and have a checkup. I wore sunglasses day and night, indoors and out...even in restaurants for dinner. I didn't want to stay stuck indoors on my vacation so I went out and enjoyed Korea. My experience was everything I could have asked for and thats why I had to share it with you guys 2 months later, I am back in nyc and very pleased with my results. My eyes are bigger, I can apply eyeshadow without looking weird and i can actually go without heavily lining my eyes with black liner like I used to just to make my eyes look bigger. I also wanted to just inform you guys that many surgeons will try to sucker you into getting a noninvasive method and just stitching your eyes because its easy money for them, this method will undo itself if you have hooded lids which makes you go back to them for a revision (which gives them more money) I can tell that my eyelids will stay put and everyday I feel like its getting better and better, more and more natural (The doctor told me realistic expectations was full recovery in 6 months) Everyone tells me I look a lot prettier and I have changed the views of my friends who were non-believers in plastic surgery. The staff and doctors at VIP really care about doing a good job on what you want and will tell you if your expectations are unreachable. I'm really happy I did it, if anyone wants to ask me anything I will give you truthful answers. I work a lot so it may take a while to get back to you but I will!

Sinman, i still have not planned when to go, but actually "i really want to do it quick" cus my droppy skin on my eyelid is getting worse, LOL. I am in US, but i m still waiting for one of my friends in hk who wants to go w/me as well. We still have no clues when to go = (
Which clinic are u going to have your double eyelid surgery done? When are u going? U haev friends to go w/u or just by yourself? Ppl told me to rent a "guest house / studio" is way much cheaper than to rent a hotel. I will let u know if i m going...but so far, still no idea when.

Hey, I'm planning to do my nose as well. I have been researching, too and there was shane 77 told me that you can stay at a guest house provided by BK hospital for free during your stay. Call them and see if you can make a reservation. I could have gone with you but I'm planning to do it this summer or later because of school. :-)
Chao !
Hi Missy. thank you for telling me that . ya, we can stay in the guest house for few days, but I have lot of thing with me, I will go Vietnam after that .don't know have enough place in guest house.
BK sent me email this morning , the nose $6000. the eyes almost like that, so it cost about 12000 for nose and eye only, kind of alot . my nose and eyes are not bad, just want to make them better. I don't think it will be big job . I want to find some more hospitals, it good if I can be there first and go checking around.

Hi vk82, tita and kkjj,

Thank you and most welcome. Will write a thorough review of Regen for the benefit of everyone in the forum. Bk dongyang, regen and banobagi are among the biggest ps clinics in korea. From my understanding, Regen will overtake the rest and become the largest when they launched their new premises next yr.

I noticed they have a lot of korean patients during my visit there (which was a big plus point for me). Unfortunately, they dont have any english speaking staff. They have a couple of Chinese employees though.

Zoe did most of the translation for me at Regen. She was with ID and other clinics for around 6 years before venturing out on her own. I decided to ask for her help after I read in cozycot how good she was (and it's true!). Last week alone, she was helping me, a HK guy and a taiwanese girl. You can reach her on email at [email protected].
Hi Resona, how much do we have to pay for translation ? how we go to see different clinic ? same day ? by taxi ? walk in ? I go there next month, doing home work now. thank

Yes I am going by myself.
I really wana get this done any time in march or april , better in march..
I am planning to go to Oz or banobagi. let see , coz i wanted to.consult the doctors first .
I been to Korea last month , i could of done that earlier urgh!
plz let me kno whether u wana join together live in guest house!

hi xvx666,

yes, i received their reply yesterday. btw did you get your nose done in open method like open up your nose or closed incision just small cut in the nasal? if is open method how long it takes you to have all stitches removed? did the doctor removed it at once or twice?

Open method. I removed my stitches on the 7th day. Removed it all at once :)
