So glad to have found this thread, I used the Oscar Blandi non-aerosol from Sephora and it did not work for me, perhaps I did the application wrong, but I did read the bottle and follow them, I looked polka dotted! Very white parts, and a white cast over the rest.

Glad to read the good reviews of Klorane, it was voted Allure's best of 2009 so I bought a can on Wednesday, I have yet to try it out though.

I wish you well,

Bridget

i've used blandi but it doesn't last long, at all.
right now i use lulu organics. it smells nice but i hate the residue it leaves behind. it goes away quickly after brushing but i'm always paranoid someone can see it since i have reddish/brown hair.

For all the Ojon users - I had a bottle and it sprayed ONCE, but was not empty at all and so I took it back to Sephora, and the SA told me it's best to store it upside down! Who knew?! Apparently with the more natural brands, it's best not to let the stuff inside to settle at the bottom.

My favorite dry spray shampoo is made by SAMY, but it's been a year and I haven't seen it since the one time I bought it.....

I tried the Batiste in lieu of the more expensive Big Sexy Hair, and while the Batiste SMELLED much better, I really wasn't thrilled with it's "shampooing" qualities. My hair still felt dirty and looked a bit stringy. It also kind of balled up on my dark hair and looked grey & dandruffy. I guess my hair is more oily than I realized, and the clay in the BSH is necessary for me?

Meh, I used my Klorane, one time, and it emptied the can! I was very disappointed as it didn't even work for me. My hair looked awful, like I had done nothing to it, and it felt weird : ( I read that if you have oily hair, if you spray hairspray on the roots, the alcohol absorbs the oil, so I bought hairspray, slick my hair back and spray it down, it definitely looks cleaner and more styled than the dry shampoo or nothing. 32 and I bought my first can of hairspray : )

I've tried a few dry shampoos ... many of them - I don't care for the smell

I use cornstarch baby powder when I want to smell like baby powder :D

I like oscar Blandi powder

I have other cornstarch body powders from Crabtree and Evelyn as well (they smell a lot nicer)

I am the Queen of the dry shampoo! Much to the disgust of my son, I have tried many, and always go back to PSSST! it's old school, but been around forever so I think they are doing something right! I make random parts in my hair and spray the roots only...don't spray it all over your head like you're setting a bouffant hairdo, lol...that should help with the whitish cast some get...;)

So I've tried the Ojon and I must be one of the few that doesn't like it. The smell is funky enough for me to not like it and I felt it revived my hair for a while and then it fell flat again. I do have thin oily hair though so that may be the case. Has anyone tried the non-aerosol version of the Klorane? How does it stack up against the aerosol version? And how is the smell of Klorane?

I received a bottle of Oscar Blandi's dry shampoo. What's the best and easiest way to use it on my thick long hair, do I need water and do I need to rinse out? Sorry if this is a dumb question, never used one before.

I think this one is a powder, not a spray, right?

You just sprinkle it on the roots - I usually section my hair as if I were going to straighten it - let it sit for a minute or two, and brush! If there's any leftover white color, you can hit it with your blowdryer for a couple of seconds and that should get rid of the white.

I hated the Oscar Blandi one. It made my hair all greasy - the powder AND the spray.
Try out Ojon, it's my favorite! And there's a cheap one at Sally Beauty Supply, and TreSemme has one out now too. Since Sephora is 3 hours away from me, I use the TreSemme the most now.
But be careful about using the hairdryer after you use the dry shampoo - heat tells the hair to produce oil, so it's kind of counterproductive.

I'll have to check out the TreSemme one...I made my own with corn starch and cinnamon from a recipe I found online and it actually works pretty good...the components were (I believe) 3 parts cornstarch to 1 part cinnamon, mix it well, and sprinkle lightly on roots then comb through. It really absorbs oil and gives you a shampooed look  Plus you end up smelling like pumpkin pie :p

That's why it gets rid of extra product! And you only do it for a few seconds, literally. I felt really smart when I figured that out :p

I've used Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk from Sephora before and I really liked it. It's not a spray, but a powder and I just massaged it into my roots and it gave me some lift and got rid of the oil.
