what about raisin? it is as serious as black, goes with everything, but more interesting than black and can satisfy your first for purple a little bit...

Hi Juss, Oh Reisin is wonderful color as well! My boutique did not have Reisin in Evelyne but will check if any comes in next time. I still plan to get 2nd Evelyne in Black though I'm weak with any purple too Thanks for your input!

I agree with your dilemmas on choosing the color to wear with the kids, and school events. I am deciding on Bleu Jean vs Etoupe. I was leaning towards Etoupe to be safe and be able to match my clothes. But after reading this thread, I like that the Bleu is more unique but still versatile.
Good choice!
