Best Bags of Summer

Which bags did you love reaching for this summer? These are my top 4! I love the Chelsea crossbody for the color, the Mercer 24 for the sweet girlie pink and tea roses on a little spunky bag, The Parker for how gorgeous it is (this was/is my dream bag!), the Swagger shoulder bag 20 for the color and cuteness-and all of these for how lightweight and easy to wear they are. Two of these were given to me as surprise gifts that made my day and inspired me to pay it forward. It also inspired me to go through all of our stuff and only keep the things we need/use/appreciate. Most of these will be used year-round, but I'm also enjoying some darker colors as we move into fall.

My go to bag every summer are my Bleecker Daily bags. I have two, one in Sea Mist and one in Pink Ruby. I use them for travel. Here's a stock photo of one I do own:

I also used my Market Tote a LOT this summer and was really impressed with it. Definitely a work horse and also a terrific travel bag. I have this one:

Forgot to add, I also like to use my Swagger 27. The one I have is this black version with the white contrast and blue/green edgestain. It makes a great black summer bag:

I find summer bags a bit of a struggle. I’m on holiday during the summer so I’m not carrying my more expensive work bags. I’m out and about running errands (groceries, errands) and I’ve slowly figured out my beloved satchels are not my best choice unless I’m attending a Ladies Lunch, on holiday or shopping somewhere fun (Louis Vuitton or Coach).

This summer I really enjoyed my patchwork tearose crossbody clutch. I carried it as a wristlet or a crossbody depending upon the occasion.

I actually use a small tote most of the time in the summer. My favourite is Longchamp. I can carry my cute small Coach bags inside.

Here is what I used most this summer!

Chelsea studded crossbody in chalk with Jon Snow and Khaleesi funko pop charms [emoji23] I call this my Game of Thrones bag.

Chelsea crossbody in gold hologram and matching wallet. Love the color shift on this leather. It goes with so much of my summer wardrobe.

MFF Billie mini backpack in denim. The leather is kinda meh but I got caught in the rain a few times with this and it took it like a champ!

I carried this Fulton Satchel most of the summer. Comfortable and it showed me how much I NEED outer slip pockets.

I love all of these! That colour block Parker is so beautiful

ETA: I also love the turquoise colour. It's the perfect summer colour

CoachMaven, you have such fun colors! I wish the Daily was still made. It looks like the perfect travel bag. I have a little Pink Ruby wristlet and love that vibrant pink!

Syren, I saw a car the color of your gold hologram bag earlier this month! Beautiful! It looked just like your bag with the pink color shift. Everyone thought it was hilarious when I announced there's a Coach bag that color!

I don’t have pics of most of mine. I pretty much alternate between my mini Preston bags, Rogue 25, and Dinky bags. I have 4 of the Mini Preston as they are my favorites—bright pink, yellow, ultra navy, studded. But the other bags give me variety. I have really come to like the Dinky bag this year. I will probably pull out my new Dreamer bag more often soon. It has been very rainy for months so I try to use my simplest bags.

I know, I had to make myself go take pictures for this. I found the Dinky so beautiful in person that I forgot to look at much else! I still haven't seen a Rouge or Dreamer up close. It looks like the Dinky might hold more than the Swagger Shoulderbag 20 which is really small for me, but I love the simplicity of a smaller bag; so I'm enjoying getting used to it some of the time.

My first Dinky was the purple Snow White/dark fairytale and I was surprised how well it actually worked. Then I got a tea rose one at the SAS, and lastly the turquoise one. No more! I must stop. Lol. It surprises me because it is a flap bag but I think it is less bothersome because the flap isn’t large. Also because of the soft glovetanned leather.

I laughed when I noticed that 3 of the 4 bags in my list have flaps and/or turnlocks. I agree, they don't feel in the way on smaller bags.

Thank you! I tend to steer clear of the super brights any more, these that I posted, plus my tourmaline colored Legacy Duffle are the brightest in my collection *I think* at this time. But I like them for a pop of color, since I wear a lot of neutrals. I LOVE the Daily Bag, I had it in Silt too, which was a dark taupe, but I gave it to my mom who had it in black and the zipper broke after her using it literally daily for 3 solid years! It is my go to travel bag and so much better IMO than those dumb swingpacks they still sell after all these years....

I like your brights a lot! I usually prefer them and thought the more subdued colors wouldn't work for me, but they do and they're so versatile.

TO, love all your summer bags! The Swagger is a gorgeous colour. I have the burgundy Mercer in the regular size and she is a handy bag! I wish it had more embellishment like your tearoses but I should use my charms.

I tried on a quilted black Parker today at the boutique with these beautiful crystal designs. It has a vintage vibe I love but I’ll need to give it some thought.
