i just made a purchase on bergdorf for a loewe puzzle before the price increase and i got an email from rakuten saying this... i'm so shocked they're not going to honor that cashback anymore ugh :wtf: :confused1:

"It has been determined that it was not credited to Rakuten due to the use of a non-Rakuten coupon/discount. As a result, Cash Back cannot be awarded for this purchase. When using Rakuten it is important to only use the coupons/discounts listed on our site, as the use of any other coupon/discount can render your order ineligible to receive Cash Back."
 
So my partner very graciously ordered two Loewe bags from Berg’s for the holidays. I always inspect them when they arrive in case anything is wrong and we need to exchange. Anyway, the Gate arrived in what looks like the warehouse box with the label and wrapped in the flimsy dust bag someone had mentioned previously but I knew that Loewe usually packs their dust bag on the inside. It still had the cardboard protection on the front and everything. My new Puzzle arrived today and it seems like this one was shipped from the store as it was wrapped really nicely in a BG box and came in the real dust bag. My only thing is that they shipped it with the security lock still on it! I have to call them and see if I can just cut it off or if I can take it to the Neiman Marcus we have an hour away. I think they are still owned by them.

I jokingly told my partner they included an extra bag charm and we laughed about it. Life is too short to really get mad about stuff like this.

i ordered mine at the beginning of november but have yet to hear about it shipping, it's kind of annoying bc the payment is "pending transaction" on the credit card but i have no item -_-;
Didn’t even think about the “pending transaction” part. I saw the charge on my card a few days ago and decided to double-check my statement since you mentioned it and the charge is gone. I don’t even have a “pending” charge now. My order has not been cancelled because I have not received an email with a cancellation notice. Crossing my fingers. 😅

How long after your order did they send you this? I just got my Puzzle delivered from BG using the 15% coupon and looks like the Rakuten cashback has been added to my account, but who knows, they could claw it back?

It happened to me - cashback was added to my account (I made my purchase in September) but when they send me the check that cashback was conveniently excluded from the payment like it didn’t exist. I had to exchange a few emails with customer service and very politely argue that they owe me that cashback :coolio: I feel lucky now as it happened in November and it seems they’ve changed their rules around that time.

Also BG sent it in a comically small dust bag…at least it is Loewe? 😂 Do you think BG will get me the correct dust bag or is it not worth the time to ask? I do have a Loewe boutique close by, maybe they would exchange the dust bag?

Hmmm what to do…it is such a gorgeous bag and the medium is exactly the size I was looking for, and I do NOT like the edge style! Keep this one and risk losing the 15% cash back or have one delivered to my friend in Europe?

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.. You have a chance to look at this bag IRL
& the size & color is exactly what you are looking for.. you just don't know what is going to be
available in Europe & you want to be sure you get the bag without the edge
As far as Rakuten goes, do they have a policy restricting certain designers?
As far as the dust bag goes, BG is pretty accommodating.. if you contact & show the same image
to client services, likely a Loewe dust bag would come your way .. not sure that the Loewe
boutique would give you a dust bag, but why not ask?
