Bergdorf purchases

I don't think there's really a way to know unless you order it and see for yourself. You could maybe try calling customer service to ask but I doubt they would be able to tell you since there's no guarantee of which store the bag will ship from once you order.
Based on my experience I would trust the official color name rather than the photos since BG definitely uses outdated photos (some still show the white embossed puzzles instead of the updated ones)
You know, I thought the same - that they (BG) use the stock photos and I’ll get the bag without the white embossing. But no - I’ve got what was pictured on their site - the black puzzle with white embossing

Hi! Tried to send a note when I changed thread title but it didn’t allow me. I changed it from Rakuten plus 15% off BG promo to just purchasing from Bergdorf

A few people got the embossed logo instead of the white logo even if the photo on BG shows the latter. You can’t tell which one they’ll send.

It definitely seems like a gamble what you'll get from BG. Since they're owned by Neiman Marcus I've had some BG online orders actually come from NM instead.

The original mini puzzle I ordered from BG (technically NM) actually came with a cut in the leather (I think someone had cut it with scissors while trying to cut off the paper wrapping the handle) so I had to exchange it. Even if BG does offer a good discount, especially with cashback options, it definitely seems like it's important to closely inspect purchases once they arrive. I'm sure that could be said for any retailer though

Does anyone know what the color actually is for the Linda’s at BG small puzzle? When I put it into my cart, it says dark butter but it doesn’t look like dark butter on the pictures.
That looks like artichoke green to me, BUT I had previously tried ordering a small artichoke green puzzle from BG and they sent me a mini size instead. I didn't even try ordering it again since I was afraid I'd get sent another mistake. BG has been pretty good with my past purchases, but I haven't purchased anything since they sent me the wrong size puzzle.

Same here! I ordered a small artichoke in small from BG in August but received a mini sand instead. Return was easy though.

That has the be the same one I got too! I own a mini in sand already, so when I opened the box, I was so disappointed and confused. LOL. I ended up getting the small in artichoke green from Saks instead and I love it!

BG is definitely reputable and that welcome 15% off plus 10% or 15% Rakuten cashback are nice. We pay premium here in the US.
I agree ordering online can be a gamble. One of my Loewe BG online purchases was an unfortunate purchase, shipped like junk, from NM Dallas warehouse in a huge empty box. Looks like it was a super fake black small puzzle. That bag was later exchanged at my local NM.

My other items , however, shipped directly from BG in their gift boxes were impeccable. I love shopping at NM and Bergdorf. Even if I ever had an issue they were quick to remove it and make it right.

So I was able to get a small tan puzzle from BG with the 15% off promo and 15% cash back from rakuten. I got the bag today and overall it looks ok, but there are some imperfections. Since it’s been hard to get this bag and they discontinued the classic with the leather strap, should I just overlook these minor things and keep it?IMG_6820.jpegIMG_6822.jpegIMG_6828.jpegIMG_6825.jpegIMG_6829.jpeg

I’d try to remove with leather conditioner and see if I can tolerate the flaws

I can only see a minor scratch out of the areas you circled. If you want perfection, I would recommend only buying in person

Scuffing like that signals either poor storage and handling but most probably a floor sample. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about that since you got the best possible in the US deal and the style is hard to come by.

What I don’t like is image #3. That “hairy” disintegrated glazing pushing through like that is very sloppy. I looked at all of mine - none have that.. flaw. It is a small flaw.

It depends on how you feel overall about this particular bag: if you are drawn to it - then I’d let go and just start using it. I know what I would do - I would exchange.

P.S. If you have a NM nearby I would go there and talk to a (handbag) manager. I had an issue with a BG bag and even without me asking for anything they chose to exchange my bag with a NM credit card application. NM owns BG.
