Moving this from the sales/deals thread. I posted about purchasing a small tan puzzle from BG with their 15% off welcome code plus the 15% rakuten cashback and I know several people placed orders after that. Mine came in today after about 2 weeks and is clearly a floor model. There is a dent in the flap, a nick of missing leather on the base of it, and the corners are dirty (both leather and stitching). If it were black I probably wouldn't have been able to see half of the wear and tear. The anagram is debossed and not white as pictured, and it did come in a loewe dust bag- for those that were interested in that info. It is going back. While it was a good deal I'm not willing to wait for another to arrive in bad shape again.

Very sorry your Puzzle arrived not in that condition. My medium black Puzzle arrived today in BG gift packaging. The bag itself is beautiful, but it looks like the zipper pulls were bent the wrong way in shipping. I think that will work itself out as I use the bag. The anagram on mine is debossed also, which I think I prefer. I don't think any department stores updated their photos after Loewe moved away from the white anagram. My only disappointment is my bag did not arrive with a Loewe dust bag. I may reach out to Loewe to see if they can send me one.
double check the dust bag- i thought mine wasn't loewe but the tag on the bag was their anagram
Mine was a generic thin dust bag similar to what The Real Real sends with their bags. Nothing even close to a Loewe dust bag, as I also have two other Puzzles.
I don't know if we're only discussing bags, but I use Rakuten last week w/ BG as well. I ordered Flow sneakers and they were impeccably packaged with tissue, dustbag and extra laces. I have next day shipping with Amex, so received them within about 48 hours from NY to TX
I got the one from the same deal that I'm on the fence about. On the back, the piece under the puzzle pieces isn't 1 single sheet of leather and the corners are very obvious in ways I don't see in online photos. Any thoughts on these photos?
I received mine last week and it was packaged well, the bag looked brand new and didn’t seem like it was a return or handled excessively. I didn’t find any defects. It was in BG packaging, tissue and all, with an outer generic dust bag, inside it had the Loewe dust bag, label, and standard paperwork. It was missing the Loewe box but I guess you can only get that from the boutique.

I’ve got my small black puzzle bag from BG yesterday. Actually, I was supposed to receive it on Friday but I missed the delivery and had to wait two long days more. I’m kind of underwhelmed to be honest. First of all, the front of the bag and the flap that covers the zipper had some stains. I was able to rub almost all of them off, but the biggest on the flap would not go away, I need to try smth else. Second, I’m not really sure if I like or impressed with the leather. I think it’s a classic calfskin - I find it looking kind of dry and thin…I can’t say it’s rich and supple. And finally - I have a white anagram on the flap. Not really a dealbreaker but for some reason I was sure it would be just an embossing on black leather so I was surprised. But it’s really nothing.
So, the main concern for me is leather. I just hope that it’s durable in spite of being thin (or feeling thin?) and lightweight because I like this bag a lot!

I think that’s the normal practice of doing it around the corners. Corners on my bag look the same.
I don't think there's really a way to know unless you order it and see for yourself. You could maybe try calling customer service to ask but I doubt they would be able to tell you since there's no guarantee of which store the bag will ship from once you order.
Based on my experience I would trust the official color name rather than the photos since BG definitely uses outdated photos (some still show the white embossed puzzles instead of the updated ones)
