Ok! think...Im guilty of both....returning/exchanging past the 10 day policy and quoting the forum to my SA. Ladies...I need your honest opinion...I dont mind :lecture:& :noggin:

When i hinted to my local store SA if i can exchange my scarf (1st one i bought impulsively to suck up:p) i bought past the 10day policy...to a diff cw...he immediately agreed and just asked if the tags are still intact (the box just stayed in my drawer since the day i bought it). I was so glad and concluded that store policy are flexible depending SA's discretion for customer satisfaction.

But a scarf is way different than a bag...you can easily spot if it was use...even slightly. IMO, I think its not right to return a bag that is already been break-in (esp went to dimsum)...If I tell the SA that i want a diff size or color...I will certainly tell what the bag went thru. That is the reason....I dont buy bags in NM anymore (another story). Now, it bothers me coz the massai i bought was a window display ( :heart:at 1st sight and only one) but what if it went to dimsum too??? Its ok if it was just a buyers remorse but NEVER been carried and stayed at the box the whole time. Oh shoots! but the thought of being divirginize (fondled, smelled & broken in:p) by anyone but me is :censor: its not just a $$$ bag!

What happen to the forum should stay in the forum...this one is hard. What is fair? To report or not? Different people have different views & comfort zones...some will do anything just to get what they want...disregarding principles...or it may just be a mistake, good for one but not for the majority.

My out of town SA...the one I really love and respects truly...i think, i raised one of her eyebrows or ruffled her feathers....when i quoted her the forum in regards to my PO :sad:...i was very persistent in getting it, i did not think of the consequencess. Is sharing information/knowledge gained by more experienced H lovers with your SA will get you more or nothing? Personally, I am proud of the forum...so much knowledge/thoughts are being shared generously. It saves me resources in figuring what i like. I so much believe the forum gave the brands so much advantage.

Now, I felt my SA does not love me anymore :crybaby:

i think scarves are a different story. most or lots have tags and i think the policy is you can return that at any time regardless of the 7 day policy if they still have the tags.

i know my friend returned a scarf yesterday that her husband bought her a while ago because she never used it and wanted something else. they had to enquire with the manager who looked it over and allowed the exchange. but that too may be at the discretion of the manager or SA.

someone correct me if i'm wrong about the scarves...

i have seen a massai in white but not sure if the store i saw it at still has it. personally i think it's a try-on to see bag. i'm 5'6" but with heels i'm more like 5'9 (and my friend yesterday swore i'm taller than i say i am. guess it's time to measure. lol.) and a big girl and it's great on me. i also saw another boardie on here who i think is a little shorter than me and she rocked it too. for that kind of money i think you need to see it irl. but it's a fab bag!

I agree.......I was just curious if this was true!
As a new person chatting on purse forum I will never ask my SA again about what is said here. I think my SA was really upset about the whole thing.
