Yes I had that in the statement #3. I am assuming that the cheating is what ended her marriage. The nanny was new though and I don't think had been on the job for more than just a few months. I was just wondering if he had cheated any other time during the marriage. I know he has his demons (gambling/alcohol) but I was not sure if there were any rumors before that time.

The thing that really caused me to lose respect for Ben is when he said that he drank because he felt trapped in his marriage to Jen G. Even if that's true, why say that about your kids mom? That was weak. I think he has some serious demons that he needs to work on outside of a relationship.

They are both unbearable ppl tbh. One always needs to be in the spotlight and cannot accept aging. The other drowns himself in strip clubs and poker games and is always in a bad mood.

Maybe they could have worked out "for a while" when they were young and have a couple of kids, but in the long run, it wouldn't have worked anyway.

These are two ppl too set in their ways that they cannot stay married. They tried.

I will admit this straight away, I watched the documentary and the movie over the weekend. I like Jennifer Lopez and was rooting for them when they got back together. I didn't remember the drama from their first go around--since the smart phone didn't exist back then I was just living my life. :lol:

Back to the question at hand, I think they're getting divorced because they realized that their lifestyles aren't compatible. She is all about the glitz and limelight and he is more low key. She's carrying exotic Birkins and put together when they go out and he's wearing sneaker and a flannel. She's smiling and inviting the camera (mostly) and he's frowning and looking bothered. She's into fitness and working out and he's smoking and eating donuts--not that there's anything wrong with a donut now and then but he's really next level in the Dunkin' addiction. I mean, how could that ever last? :nuts:

This makes sense. These two fools got swept up in being reunited and whatever drove their romance the first time. Once the excitement and passion wore off and reality set in, it was likely clear to *both of them* that it’s not going to work.

I suspect they came to the conclusion mutually to divorce, not necessarily one deciding to divorce and the other wanting to stay together. Though the whole thing probably got dragged out a bit as JLo made such a big fuss and display about how in love they are and was probably anxious about being embarrassed that it didn’t work after all of that.

He really looks like a grump. Yes, he is a handsome, successful older man but that attitude must be draining.
Plus, he is a former (?)addict battling two addictions.
I give her props, she has to be pretty strong minded to be dealing with such odds.
IMO, it was nostalgia and unfinished business for both.
Plus like Jennifer Garner says, he loves bombs.

She needs a Brian Tanaka in her life. Mimi knows best.:yes:
