Ok everyone!!

This turned out to be an amazing day!!

My cam is just horrible!

Ok, well, I bought it. I have until they cloes on Friday to return it for a full refund.

It is.....

Center stone is 1.02cts...WOOOO!!!

G color

VS-1

These specs are what the jeweler told me when I brought it in today. I will be taking it to another store tomorrow to have it further checked out.

Bought it for $1500 from a pawn shop.

Est value from the jeweler I went to???? $6500 JUST FOR THE STONE!!! AHHHHHH!!!! LOL!!!!!

Now here's the bad news. You can see the head is crooked. So are two of the prongs. The "clipped" edge of the stone can be felt. It's not chipped! Just exposed, that's all. Also, the store I took it to is afraid to fix it! The head they said was lazered on or something? If anyone knows what this means, please let me know! I'm kinda disappointed that I can't wear it right now!

Well, what do ya think!?? More pics later...I promise!

Ps. The stone is NOT that yellow in life! It's so crisp and clean!

Would anyone mind blowing it up? Please?

Thank you to everyone for their comments in my other posting. You ladies are awesome!

Could you get the stone taken out and put into another setting to cover up the chipped part?

Oh no no no! That's not what I meant..lol! An emerald cut has "clipped" corners. One of those corners is exposed. No chips in this stone! LOL! Sorry I didn't clarify!

Thanks ladies!

Hi jenny!

I've been waiting all day! Those specs are what I would have guessed from your very first picture (not that I could tell for sure) but that picture looked like a nice stone! Many congratulations! I hope you never trade that beauty in. And you are a much better bargain hunter than I am! I want to go shopping with you! :okay:

As far as being "lasered on"--from what I know they use lasers to solder jewery that cannot safely be soldered by the traditional methods--like fragile antique pieces. With the laser the heat is directed precisely, reducing damage to the surrounding area, I guess. I'm not a technical-type person. lol. But perhaps they soldered it that way to avoid damaging the diamonds on the side band? :shrugs: Or maybe they did it that way without having to remove the stone from the head first??

I wouldn't be too worried about having it fixed. I am sure you can somewhwere. And for the GREAT price that you got, it will be well worth even getting a new setting for it in the future if you decide to do that. Wow, I am just amazed that you got this deal. That is no easy feat! I think I am going to :faint:.

I have some questions if you don't mind answering, Jenny....is the ring gold or platinum? And in the picture it looks like there are stones around the emerald cut--maybe one on each side--is that just metal or stones?

It's not really a good pic :( Gimme just a few mins and I'll get another one up for ya :)

Oh, Jenny, sorry to dominate this thread--hehe--but they didn't say the stone was lasered, did they? If so, that is a different thing than what I thought you were referring to in my first post. In my above post, I thought you meant the jeweler said the head (metal part) was lasered onto the band.

Nope, you're right, they were talking about the metal part.

Guess what???? I just took more pics for you :) Uploading now!

I don't know what's wrong with that first pic at the begining of the thread. The stone looks very long. It's not really that extreme. Weird...

Well, here's some more pics!

The little diamonds in the enhancer are very crisp and clear. Just a funky angle. I REALLY need a good cam! These are cell phone pics!
