Michael Kors Bedford question

I'm still waiting for my bag to ship.. But the things I saw at the mk site today! There's a new arrival on the Large Bedford Saffiano Dressy Tote!!!
I'm getting the regular one, but saffiano... Mmm! Too bad the picture on the page obviously still shows the picture of the regular version with no saffiano;

And it is made only with golden hardware (so far) so it is out of reach for me.
And they also have a red bedford saffiano tote!!! Tasty! (but with only gold HW bleh)

Oh if only there were a black one with silver HW... That would be perfect. But I'll see first how the regular polished leather one looks like.

Sorry to hear about that! MK should pick up the shipping charges because that's clearly their mistake!

My bedford tote arrived today. I made sure with the Michael kors.com online sales assistant that the hardware is silver.
IT ARRIVED IN FRICKIN GOLD AGAIN! AARGHHH!!!!

Oh my....unbelievable! They need to do something about that. I am so sorry you are have so many issues.
I have the medium and I have no problems with the strap. Can you post a pic so I can see why it is hanging oddly?
Did you unsnap the sides before attaching the long strap?
Well, to my question they replied that they're asking their Quality Assurance dept. if the tote even comes in silver, and asked to allow for 5 days for this.

If there's no silver HW model in existance, I will return the bag and either get the new MK model in saffiano leather (with gold HW), though this mess has left me with a bad taste about MK/Macy's and their product descriptions...
The saffiano model appeared to MK's web page right after my order of the polished leather one, and I would very much prefer saffiano as it is not as easy to scratch)
Or then I'll just get the DKNY saffiano bag (little cheaper, similar but with longer handles, saffiano and sigh, gold HW

OK I too would love and MK Dressy tote with gold hardware and all I can find is silver in the FP store and none on line. Where are you finding the gold one. I wish they were making it in safiano too - you say you saw that on line? I purchased the Tory Burch Robinson and while it's an amazing bag it's really heavy for me. I'd like an MK as I know it's lighter. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
OK so you got me thinking and I have brought home the MK Bedford Dressy Tote with silver hardware even though I would like gold. I am a little comfused as this is safiano leather - just finished off with a shine. I want to test the weight so I can decide between that and the TB Robinson. I did see the DKNY Safiano in Lord and Taylor and while it is not a TB or MK, it is still an awesome bag. The size is an inch wider which is big for me but I love the double zips and crossbody. Wish MK were a lighter unfinished safiano in gold and that the CB strap was totally adjustable so I didn't have to stick it inside the bag to keep it on. Let me know what you decided. I know i have to decide as its my Christmas present and I hope to use it early when I start my new job Monday!
