Any recent beach bag acquisitions that people are loving? I'm actually looking for a sailing trip/beach bag that is presentable enough to carry during the day. Something responsibly sourced would be awesome.

Oh geeeezzzz, Gals! Well, I pretty much decided on getting something in leather since the beach exposure will be negligible and I want the bag to be something I can just use for normal street wear at home as well. So I wanted a durable natural leather, top handles and shoulder strap, simple design - no studs or hardware I'm going to need to worry about, subtle yet elegant and luxurious. And I didn't know about:
a.) the leather (cuir) pliage
b.) the possibility to customize

Now I'm going crazy for the Cuir Pliage and playing with all the different color possibilities. I know, I know... I can't exactly set it on the sand while I play in the water, but if I have to carry a cheap tote I already own just to the beach I will do it in exchange for having this beautiful bag for walking about and dinners and such.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I will let you know what colors I go with once I'm settled.

Okay, not the most original/interesting choice, but for a bag I'm paying top dollar for it needs to be boring enough for any kind of use. Hey, at least it has a red lining!

I went on Etsy & bought a tote from a seller there & had it monogrammed (I was also in the market for a beach tote). It's def not high end but it's super cute, large & sturdy. That aside, TB might be an option.

Thanks for the suggestion... those are very cute! If only I had another $245 floating around for a dedicated beach bag. At this point it looks like I'll be packing a hefty sack in my suitcase for use on the beach. LOL.
