I own the Cartier BB in 36ml, the 42 looked too big on me. But if I were buying the far sportier Rolex, I'd go for the 42.

The Cartier is my favorite. Sometimes I just stare at the face, it's so beautiful. You own a Rolex already.

I regret not purchasing the two-tone version of my Cartier watch. DH gifted me with a YG Love that I wear all the time and it kind of bothers me that my Love is YG, rings are platinum and my main watches are steel. I recently tried on the two tone 33 BB and I think it ties everything together nicely. I generally look better in YG (olive/tan) but having that hint of steel coordinates with my wedding set. I used to think the two tone was dated but now I couldn't imagine any other watch. For an everyday watch, at least.

And since you mention you're going for style Cartier wins over Rolex for me, every time. I know it's considered a "fashion" watch and most watch connoisseurs don't fancy their innards - But if you were looking for a serious watch I would have recommended looking at Patek Philipe instead.

Two tone all the way! I was recently gifted with a two tone recently and cannot believe how versatile it is!

BB but not 42. Not a fan of men watches. Rolex makes better looking two tone and has better resale value versus Cartier. I'm of no help.
