balenciaga city or ysl muse?

THese are two VERY different bags! I really think you need to go and feel the leather on both and try them on to decide. The City is super lightweight and functional. The Muse is harder to carry IMO but very elegant.

But if I had to choose, I would select the balenciaga city.

Me too, but I'm 5'2". I think the Balenciaga can be dressed up and down, but the YSL Muse looks much more formal. I think age may play a factor as well... I'm in my late 20's, and find that the Muse looks a bit mature for me. But for size though, I agree with the medium Muse on your frame.

Well said... another addition , go and try both of them yourself. You will feel it when you try it on. The right bag will scream its name in your mind.

I agree with your point about the Muse looking formal...however, there is a recent picture of Jennifer Anniston wearing cut-off denim shorts and a white top carrying her black Muse.

I think the Muse is definitely more classic and structured, but I kind of think that it overwhelms shorter people (I'm 5'3"). I have a Balenciaga, and I really love the way it looks. I use it casually and for work.

I think in the end, I would choose a Balenciaga.

I'm 5 foot tall, 92lbs. And I carry a Balenciaga weekender. I'm seriously considering getting an XL YSL muse in oak or taupe colour. If I were you I'll get either a weekender Balenciaga or XL Muse. I don't know why but there's something about those oversize bags that I'm so crazy about. I think it looks cute for short petite girls like me to carry huge handbags. Other people might not agree but that's just me.
