Bal Intel - F/W 2011

I understand Bal's business rationale regarding posting color swatches and/or making them available to the public..... but IMO if the color descriptions are "out there" and the swatches do exist why not make them accessible.

Here's another thought though - If the swatches were available to everyone in advance.....One might take a 180 and argue that if a potential customer doesn't like what will be coming out in a future collection then they may go ahead and purchase a current color - one that they were thinking about and liked.....it could work both ways.

It's always been my experience in business that the logic behind one company's rules/practices is also the basis for a completely dissimilar policy in another.

But then again.....if the swatches were posted the fun in quessing/wondering would be gone.

I agree and was going to post the exact thoughts in my previous reply. The Fall colors do not fit my personal pallette; therefore, I am wanting Ardoise and Dark Night even more now!

Ok, so I need to clarify something.

When I posted the F/W 2011 color descriptions, I was just relaying what Jojo had described to me from what she had seen. She is a Balenciaga collector, has a good grip on their colors, and she was excited to pass this information on to all of you.

I do NOT have swatches. Neither does she.

I was just trying to relay information from her to share with all of you, and to give you all an IDEA of what to expect for the colors of the F/W 2011 season. That's all. Just sharing info, and creating dialog.

So, I wont answer questions about colors anymore-you have the descriptions, imagine away! I think that my answering questions about the colors after I posted my initial "description post" has people thinking I have swatches/Jojo has swatches/whatever.

I will be waiting along with everyone to see the actual bags IRL or to see the actual swatches.

BINGO! This is exactly why I asked about swatches, because the way you were answering questions made me think you had them in front of you to reference while answering. We DO appreciate your help and sharing of information.

Aaaahhh I check this thread pretty much obsessively hoping for swatches soon hehe

I'm so excited for cyclamen, bleu paon, and bleu lavande!!! especially CYCLAMEN! i love magenta colors would really love a bright pencil...

Vanitas- I'm totally on the same boat as you! I'm mentally trying to envision the color descriptions that the wonderful ladies of tpf has been brainstorming about! And if all ends well, fw colors sound very promising! I'm super excited about the three colors you've mentioned. It will be a tough battle between those three colors for me since I can only choose one, hehe!

I wasn't talking about you since you don't have them but i remember someone writing they had them?
Btw your info's been very,very helpful and I appreciate you sharing all the info's you've got with us.
But of course we're super excited about these colors (thanks to your descriptions) and we cannot wait for swatches!! Eheheheh
And I wanted to add that this was nothing against you.. because to be honest
you were/is one of the few girls willing to answer our questions and really help us!

Susan, I was thrilled when you provided additional information on the colors!! My post re: I want the Color Chart .. was just me being impatient (as I'm apt to be with Bal stuff .. especially when I'm not that thrilled with the current season colors!). If I offended in any way, my very sincere apologies .. I never want to see a post where someone feels that they can't *speak*! Differences are what makes our world interesting; how boring would it be if EVERYONE had to like the same thing or have the same opinion?
