I walked in to the store today to drool for Neon Blue lizard (the reveals here are yummy!) And to make sure I love it before putting my name on Paris list, but I ended up not liking the shiny hardwares. Instead, I saw OB rggh town and I was swoon! It is sooo beautiful!! The price is aus$2100 (minus 10% tax refund) and it is still a bit higher by few hundreds, should I jump the gun and get it anyway before OB becomes so rare?? I never owned a town before and I'm worried it would be too small because I carry quite a lot of things (long wallet + water + book). I'm not really a messenger-bag girl but the color combo is TDF! Despite the name, I don't see it as orange, it is more a TAN bag, a caramel-y, pumpkin-ish brown.

I have an Orange Brule' RGGH PT and love it!!!! The color is so yummy and every OB that I have seen pictures of has beautiful leather. If you think you can live with the size of the town, I would grab it. For me, the town is too small for everyday use. Even the city is a little small, which is why I prefer the PT.:smile1:

Hi! As much as OB is pretty i think you should hold out till you find a city. I have a town and I carry lots of things too and i think the town is a tad too small! (esp with the bottle and book) Hope that helps!:D

I saw it at Printemps (Parme SGH) and I completely agree with you. Its like BDR shade but without the rosy light pink nor healthy sheen. Just my two cents. Seriously Balenciaga folks, you abandoned beautiful Orange Brûlée for this colour? Really?

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but when will the mini giant hardware hit the stores? Will the size (which is already "mini giant") on the town or first, change, or just the larger bags?

The price increase affects not only the "new" stock, but anything of "old" stock as well. As such, if the stores have some leftover GH bags, they will be marked up in addition to the 'new' stock. I know .. it sucks royally!

If you think Town is too small, don't get it: it is a lot of money to spend on something that will be used occasionally, no matter how gorgeous it is.

I carry the same things in my bag on a daily basis as you, and find the Town too small if I want to add even a small make-up purse and my (not large) leather bound diary into the Town.

Instead, search for a City or Part Time in the same colour and hardware from overseas (******, or one of the European or US Bal boutiques listed in Reputable Bal Sources). I have also seen a hardly used RGGH PT in Orange Brule on Bonanza/eBay from a fellow TPFer who bought hers a few weeks ago, but changed her mind and sold, rather than return it to the boutique (sometimes it is more hassle to post and return than just sell it at a slight loss).

Yikes, that is one price hike!!

Thanks ladies for your insights, I think I will have a think about it for few days (I have until Saturday to make up my mind, or before somebody else buys it!). If it meant to be mine, I know it'll be there (or hopefully E will have one soon :lol:) and I will post LOADS of pics when that happen!
