Bags with known quality issues...I'm making a list

My very first Coach bag, a brown Kristen Hobo, had very premature wear on the zipper pull(after less than 2 weeks of minimal use) I returned it. Never even got to use my Gunmetal Alexandra. It had peeling happening before I even got it out of the box. I am also noticing a strange set or group of markings on the clip of my Berry Alexandra. Will post pics of what I am attempting to describe. Pretty disappointing when I pay what I consider to be top dollar.

I've had two Madison bags with really strong chemical odors. The SA said it was the finish coat. After weeks of airing out with no results, I returned both bags.

Legacy bags: sealant peels. Turnlock issues.

Older Madison bags (certain colors) are prone to serious fading.

Pretty much any metallic bag from any brand runs the risk of peeling or flaking.

Madison sabrinas that have been known to have dye/fading issues include teal, mahogany, berry and cherry leathers (am I remembering this correctly?). Also, I seem to remember some of the carriage hardware on the sabrinas had flaking issues with the gold metal.

I remember copper leather Zoes having color-fading issues.

I've noticed some peeling of sealant on the handles of my purple croc audrey. :wondering I was able to fix it perfectly with Sebing's Edge Kote, but still made me feel

My Legacy Leigh also had sealant-cracking issues, on the leather strap that weaves through the chain. It was difficult to repair and now I'm paranoid to wear it too often.

My Mff zoe frayed within 1 week of use. Exchanged it, the second lasted 2 weeks they refunded me. I should add this was the one that had the leather on top. The fraying was at the bottom corners.

And let me add my brand new poppy graffiti hearts coated canvas wristlet in sv/grey which I didn't even get to reveal. The purple patent trim has about twenty little bubbles in it. GRRR. Now I have to go BACK to the mall tomorrow. Geez.

Of the 10 Coach bags I own the only one I have a problem with is my eggplant colored leather Garnet. The color is fading the folds (pleats) of the bag, also the color is wearing around the bottom corners of the bag ---and the bag has had very minimal use. Shame-I really like the style of the bag but now I do not use her very often fearing the problem will get worse and I can't imagine what I will do when more purple wears from the bag...if it gets real bad I guess I could consider getting it dyed ?
