Bags with Contrast Lining

Hermes introduced the horseshoe stamp just few years ago. All the bicolor special orders made before don't have it.

All the one color special orders don't have it eather. I have many one color special orders with no horshoe stamp.

The Candy and Flash line, are limited edition, not special orders, and therefore don't have the stamp.

thank you Mr Posh Spice! yes indeed it is a cell phone pocket but as footlocker pointed out, it doesn't fit the newer model cellphones. i actually use it to put my house keys in for quick easy access. i'll take a pic and post one up for you later today.



AFAIK all SOs receive a horseshoe stamp. however, not all bags with contrast lining are SOs... H also does a "candy" line which is a chance to own a bag with contrast lining without having to SO. usually this is in epsom leather for birkins though.

Yes. It should be a pocket for phone. You can request to have either a phone pocket (but cannot fit iPhone) or PDA pocket (good for iPhone) when you request your SO. Besides these kinds of pockets, you can request a pocket with gussets, two pockets with no zipper too.

Great info. Didn't realize pockets could be choices too.

Carlinha I'm late to comment, but I wanted to say your graphite with BdR is gorgeous. I've looked at your rainbow a couple of times this evening and yes, it makes me so happy just to look at it! Congratulations on a beautiful selection.

Is it true that by "default" if you place an SO for a contrast lined Birkin, the piping colour is automatically matched with the colour of the lining inside? eg. If you ask for black birkin/orange lining, the piping will be orange as well, unless you specifically ask you want the lining to be black as well?

If that's true I find it rather weird, shouldn't it be the other way round - eg. they'll do contrast piping only if you ask for it?
For those of you who have done the SO for contrast lining recently, did you have to ask them not to contrast line the piping as well?

Yes. You need to tell them that you do NOT want contrast piping. Otherwise They will give you piping.

yes indeed true, you have to specifically say NO CONTRAST PIPING otherwise the standard is they do it to match the inside color of the bag. contrast stitching however you do have to specify.
