IMO bags with the biggest demand in the moment, ie Spy, Paddy, B bags, metallics - those with distinctive qualities, such as studs, zippers, strings, fringe, padlocks - they fall hard. I agree that the "Muse" (although many of us want one) has the earmarks of a totally classic look. They don't make them like that very often.

I agree with the metallics all the Murakami lines except ONE MC bag. The MC bag I like and think might be a classic is the Shirley (which is why I got it). I think the others are too big and therefore, the colors are way too much.

Also, I think Balenciagas are going down soon as well as the Paddingtons. The design just doesn't have a classic look. Classic to me is when all ages and generations can wear it without looking silly. And I don't think it's true with those.

Metallics & the Kooba Sienna (I like the Sienna, but ENOUGH already)
And, as always, I wish Dooney & Bourke "IT bags" would all be condemned to purse hell.

Check this out..maybe I should call D&B and tell them to stop ripping off Gucci!! THey're so over their own stuff they're copying other brands!!

I was thinking the same thing. I think the Shirley is meant to be a classic. I'm sad they don't use the shape for Mono and Damier canvas. :worried:

I think that an slightly studded hobo in leather can come back out every so often when the boho look comes in and out. But the general embellished, studded bags are out to me. That includes bags with tassles, studs, jewels, etc. I think the overly metallic look is over.

In terms of specific brands/styles, the Paddy, all the Spys, Kooba (anything), Balenciaga, and a lot of IF, are over to me--but that's JMO.
