Bags in Multiples?

I think it depends on the bag & style. I can certainly see myself wanting antoher Balenciaga in another color but as a rule I am trying to get one bag from each style I am craving so that I get a rounded collection before I start to get more of the same. Although I have broken it already, as I have a Burberry pochette & large tote, but I feel guilty about having both & always contemplate selling one!

I don't like the Edith bags either. They're SO simply constructed, the leather is distressed, the stitching isn't as sturdy as it should be, and yet the price is obnoxious just because it's a Chloe and from Phoebe's last collection for them.

I'd get the muse- but that's a biased opinion since I seem to be the only on who hates the edith bags. If you really like a bag, though, it makes sense to get it in different colors.

Seems like you really want the Muse right now! I also do not think it is silly at all to buy the same bag that you love but in a different color...if you love the bag and use it, why not?;)

i've only noticed my obsession with multiples with Bbags. for some reason, it seems okay to have many colors in the same design. but i'm refraining myself haha.

I have purchased bags in multiples ... but I tend to do this with clothing more, stapes like dress shirts and t shirts. For handbags, if it's a particular style, I like the idea of having one classic and one (or more) extravagant. But even more than that, I like having handbags of all different styles and colors, so I buy multiples rarely.

I'm the Noah's Ark of bags and shoes - find a style I like and I buy 2. If you love it, no problem, and if your lifestyle suits the diversity of such different styles then that's a good to branch out. Personally I'd love a Muse but my lifestyle is definitely no longer urban/chic so I'm better off with two casual Ediths - the simplicity and distressed leather suit me.

I'm too fickle to do that - but that's just me - I'd rather have a very diversified colllection so there is always a bag that fits the moment and if I get tired of a bag, I don't have 2 bags I'm tired of at the same time. I always need to move on, so for me it wouldn't be practical but certainly if you can afford it and you feel the desire to do it - then of course indulge yourself.

Well, I have 5 YSL Mombasa's. I have 3 Muses now. I just ordered my 4th one. I have 2 Paddingtons and 2 Silverados. I have 3 YSL Muse hobos. I have a lot more. I loved the YSL Mombasa's. I don't use them as much nowadays though. Anyway, when I'll think of more, I'll post it.

I am soooo guilty of this. If I really like a style, I typically have atleast two. It doesn't matter whether it's bags, clothes, lipstick, you name it... But I rationalize it in the sense that I've gone for seasons without seeing a great bag that I was crazy about.... so you have to justify it one way or another for yourself.... It is a good reason, right?? :oP
