Bag Goals for 2021?

I said no more bags for 2021, but the Nano Lockme Bucket is really tempting me, as it would fill a nice gap in my designer collection, especially as it contains silver hardware. Only problem is that I can't do research on the bag seeing as no-one on tPF or YouTube seems to own this style. I'm sticking to Hermes/Chanel/LV for designer bags, but I'm hoping this style is classic enough to bypass trends. I know it's a similar price to the Evelyne TPM, but that bag looks too casual for me, whereas I think this LV bag is a bit more versatile.

Hello everybody,

I knocked out some 2021 “goals” already this year...and now I’m batting around the idea of letting go of three more bags to trade for one nicer one. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Already sold: Speedy 30 (my first LV! So a little sad, but no regrets) and 35, old Saumur (it was awesome while I needed it but I’m getting older now and it was too heavy on my shoulder), Azur Cles (never used it and I have a black multicolor cles that I treasure), an ebene Agenda PM (never ever used it but when I bought it I thought I would, lol), and a Cabas Mezzo (just not my style, plus a sad memory attached).

Bought: First Chanel (large Boy Bag - I am tall and it looks on me like the small/original medium looks on smaller people) - I hope this ends up being the bag I keep for a long time - I want future grandkids to think of it as Nana’s bag

Chanel black lambskin wallet - I don’t recall the name, but it zips around and has that lovely burgundy interior. It feels like butter and I take it out of the dust bag sometimes to admire it like a weirdo since I don’t go anywhere.

Monogram Pochette Métis - preloved but I got lucky with a not-problematic model. I will take wear & tear in stride.

Balenciaga City in Charbon circa 2014 - I need a no-logo bag. This is my first Bal and I will likely take it on the RV this summer. I don’t want to carry a bag that says I AM A LOUIS VUITTON to campsites or to touristy small towns because reasons. But for inside...

Ebene Clemence wallet and Ebene 4-ring key holder. I bought this wallet specifically for the City bag. I have a few other LV wallets but none in ebene, and since I sold the Agenda in ebene, I was missing an ebene piece. I’ve always wanted an LV key holder that wasn’t a cles (kind of defeated the purpose as a key holder for my use) so I was excited to finally get one.

So now that I‘ve done all that, I’m trying to decide what to do with the three satchels I have left. I have a Gucci Boston Bag that I love and seems like it could be a real workhorse. Up here in Western WA, the rain is a thing, and the Boston seems impervious to it. I also have an Epi Speedy 30 with matching wallet and cles in Kenyan Fawn that are also built to last and are under-the-logo-radar and I just love them. The one left in question is a Boetie PM but the one I scored was in fantastic condition and even though it’s an older style, I don’t care about that kind of thing. I’ll likely hang onto those because I’m not going to sell just because I got bored. So it seems I know what I’m going to do even though I said I wasn’t sure. It’s a pandemic, I can be indecisive.

Update: I've changed my mind on this LV bag. Hard pass. I tried it on in the boutique and it was extremely small and quite flimsy.

I have decided to go for a contemporary designer bag on Net-A-Porter as all the black bags with silver hardware from Hermes/Chanel/LV are either redundant, too trendy and not really grabbing my attention or are not reasonably priced due to quality or excessive price increases. I briefly considered YSL as an option, but I just can't pull the trigger on YSL when I compare it to the other three brands. Once I get this contemporary designer bag (hopefully on sale), I think my bag collection should have a good mix of gold and silver hardware.

I just got my first LV's in January, so technically already accomplished my goal of owning my first Louis Vuitton!

2021 purchases already:
- Speedy B 25 DE (gift from husband)
- Card Holder Recto Verso (gift from husband)
- Key Pouch DE
- Key Pouch Mono

2021 future purchase goals:
- Neo Noe MM in Mono and Caramel (I'd like to buy this one for myself for my birthday in September...if I can hold off that long)
- Maybe a TP 19
- Maybe a mini pochette accessoires (can't decide between mono or DE)
- My sister loves the key pouch in mono, so I might also buy this as a gift for her and hold onto it for a birthday or Christmas gift

Update: I made it less than 4 weeks before buying my second bag. I decided to get the Noe GM in monogram, instead of the Neo Noe, because I wanted to have something that could fit a laptop and I love the history of this classic. Now I just need it to stop raining and be able to go somewhere so I can use it!

I’m adding Pochette Metis to my goal list as well. I think I’ll get this in empreinte noir, so I can have bags in DE, mono, and leather...to be decided:lol:

Bag goals of 2021: don’t buy any bag lol
I purchased the bum bag and the otg mm , otg is just collecting dust. Trying to be disciplined plus I don’t see anything that’s catching my eye— thus far lol
Putting myself on blast lol feb 2021 and I’ve already purchased two LV items. Granted they were both preloved. Now I’m really done. Until my birthday in November. lmao

Purchased in 2021
1. Neonoe in Pink (gifted by DH)
2. Neverfull DE Rose Ballerine
4. Reverse Monogram Card Holder
5. LV Eva Mono Clutch (preowned)

Still on my wishlist:
1. Alma BB
2. Neverfull GM in Monogram
3. Speedy B25 in DE

I'm fairly new to Louis Vuitton products and my goodness, I don't know why I didn't like it sooner! It is so lightweight and carefree to use in comparison to my Chanel leather totes. LV is so addicting!

Non LV Wishlist Items - YSL Large WOC (blush pink with GHW) and Small Loulou (black with GHW)

I have a medium Lou Lou and I love this bag. I've been very impressed and am looking at other YSL bags.

I've noticed that there have been a lot of die-hard YSL fans impressed with their bags in recent years. Maybe they are onto something...

I was looking at these two bags as options:

Don't want to hijack an LV thread so I'll leave it at this.
