What I was thinking of doing this year is something I've thought of, but have never done. I'd like to divide up my bags by season and match them up with matching SLGs, and for the most part, only use that bag thru that season. Obviously I'll allow myself to use whatever bag I want, but the idea of using the same bag for a month or 2 without changing out sounds appealing. Has anyone tried that method?

Yes, I do this and I love it. When I get a bag out that I haven’t used for a few months, it’s like a “ new” bag. I especially do this with my mom-mono Speedy. I use it through late Spring/ early Summer.

I am currently letting go a few bags that didn’t work out for me. In 2021 I’m getting one new bag for my bday that has been on my wishlist forever and hopefully that will be it for the year. During the pandemic I did purchase some new bags and they barely got used! So I’ve decided to let go of what is redundant or doesn’t work—get that wish list bag and slow down.

I reduced my collection greatly in 2020. However, I only sold off my contemporary designers because I just don’t reach for them anymore. My collection is finally under 15 bags. That being said, I am going for a “one year of no bag purchases” ban. For me, that would mean, I can purchase again in 11/21, just in time for the holidays. But, only one bag... :biggrin:

This year changed my mind a lot, I want to appreciate more what I already have than buy new stuff. I‘ve bought a lot this year, 6 bags and 3 scarfes, I didn‘t use them. There are 2 bags left on my wishlist though, one Hermès Evelyne TPM in pink and a Celine Belt Bag in Rose, none LV, I didn‘t love the new designs. Overall I‘m tired of the haunting, too. And the price increases....

My goal for 2021 is to buy absolutely nothing! I’ve acquired many beautiful bags over the years and I think I’ve finally reached purse peace. I’m also tired of the chase for hard to find items. It’s been fun during these slower times but it’s not something I’m interested in keeping up with over time. Instead, I will look to my own collection, use and appreciate what I have, and continue to share my love for other people’s new finds. We’ll see how far into the year I make it :P

I see that I'm not the only one who bought wayyyy too much from LV this year. There were so many different releases I really thought would be great collector's pieces, like the Clouds , Escale, Nigo, Game On, 1854, etc....and during a year when things were rough, shopping provided great therapy. I consider myself lucky, others can barely make ends meet. I do try to use my bags, even if just to run to get gas, pick people up, etc... I feel at least this way, they get rotated out. (sad justification). I'm silently hoping nothing appeals to me for 2021, but after being on this forum for almost 15 years, I've learned when it comes to me and LV, I can't make any promises !!

Very blessed in year 2020 that I was still able to afford all of these...

I have a never ending wishlist for 2021 (as usual :facepalm:)

I just placed my order today for the pink Rodeo bandeu. Going in store to collect it this weekend and hopefully to add the Mylockme Chain Pochette in Silver to my collection.

I still have a few bags and SLGs on my radar. However, I would prefer to go to the LV store in person rather then ordering online. The closest store is NYC or Toronto. It would be my hope to finally make the trip. This virus needs to GO!! If not then I’m sure my finger will press the place in cart button at some point.
