Is the Marmont really light even with the chains? Or are the bronze chains lighter than they look? Sorry to bombard this thread as I'm trying to decide a daily workhorse bag but are unsure between the Marmont small or Soho Disco. Thank you in advance.

I felt the Marmont was really light, the chains felt hollow compared to the Dionysus. Soho disco from memory is lighter again but doesn't feel like the same quality leather that the Marmont has.

I feel like the Dionysus style has become a classic whereas the Marmont seems to be falling out of favour with the brand? I also have the feeling that the Dionysus will last longer. I have bought the Marmont three times and returned all of them as all came wrinkled. Let us know what you end up going for!

I am for the Dionysus. I find it more classic and more versatile. Also it is obviously Gucci without the need for big Gs

I have the small marmont and I love it. BUT the dionysus is absolutely my fav. I love that bag, so that is my vote. I was just in monaco and got the dionysus leather mini chain bag (AKA WOC) and I wish so much I got the dionysus bag your debating on. Just my 2 cents

I think you should go for the Marmont. You mentioned you have three LVs that are Damier and monogram coated canvas. Although I love the Dionysus bag, your collection could use another leather bag instead of another bag with allover print logos.
