I'm not a baby-er but there are some I'm definitely more careful with, mostly because of their light colors (vintage striped coated canvas
Fendi, vintage lighter Guccis, vintage
Gucci flora bucket, MBMJ Preppy Hillier in White) or material (vintage lambskin Chanel Mini). The ones I baby tend to have some very special meaning for me, like the vintage Guccis being part of a collection that belonged to my grandpa's friend who then gave them all to my mom.
Most of my every day bags have been a little more, uh, lived in. Out of everything I use my MBMJ Totally Turnlock Natasha in Sea and my Mon Monogram Neverful MM the most. Natasha has some definite wear but the color is so unlike anything else I have. I got my NF's drawstring caught on a door handle last year. The little slider is hanging on by a couple threads but it really doesn't bother me. I thought I would want to get it repaired immediately but I hardly ever draw the sides in and the store recommended I wait until the other side needed repair.
I think I'm a little bit of all three! While I do baby certain bags, I recognized in my late teens that if I didn't use them at ALL I could never really truly enjoy them if I sat and just looked at them all day.
@KittyKat65, that is an EXCELLENT photo! She looks so loved. There's something special about taking a nice bag everywhere
