5'9" and size 3.5 to 4 depending on how wide the ring is. I have long skinny fingers, thin wrists, long arms and legs. . .can you say ectomorph? It's actually kind of annoying when I want to buy fun jewelry but the rings and bangles are too big.

And it's not like I'm crazy thin either I wear an 8 or a 6 in clothes a size 9 in shoes (but my feet are kind of narrow and flat) I'm not tiny I just seem to taper off at my my scrawny extremities

I'm a size 6.5-7...I have chubby fingers!
I'm a size 7. I was having trouble with one of my rings due to the hot weather and brought it to a jeweler to see about making it larger. He basically said he could size it up a half size but once the winter comes, it will fit again. I decided to leave it alone for now. But doing research online re tight rings in summer, I kept seeing people talking about their size 4.5 or 5 fingers. Made me wonder, am I that chubby? or are the people who have fingers larger than a size 6 afraid to state their size? As far as my overall size, I've gained some weight and not as slim as I'd like to be but I'm still in the average size range.

No....your fingers are not "chubby", I guess that you were right when you said that "people who have fingers larger than a size 6 afraid to state their size". I wear a size 8 and people always compliment my hands I have very long fingers and yes, I do play the piano...I can stretch an octave and two notes (not counting the fact that I have hyper-extension of the joints in my fingers). I never had a problem ordering a ring but I must admit that it is quite discouraging not to be able to try a sample ring on in a store. I usually have to try it on my pinkie finger (size 6) and decide from there whether to order it in my size. The down side is that I can't buy a ring smaller than a size 7 and have it safely resized to fit my size 8 finger. Rings lose their strength and can split and/or crack when made more than a full size larger (I found this out the hard way).:crybaby:

thanks
I know Chessmont. When I went to the jeweler to see about stretching my ring, the 7.5 was still tight on me due to the hot weather. But when I went home and put my hand in cold water for a minute my size 7 ring went on and off just fine.
