*bump*
Left hand ring finger size 6 1/4, right hand 6 3/4 so a little bit non-standard. It's easier to buy 6 1/2 for left hand and 7 for right hand, so I get some spin.
I'm 5 ft. 3.
I don't think I have big fingers at all--not to be vain but all my life people have admired my hands and talked about my slim, elegant fingers, which are also very long (ideal for playing piano, which I do). I never wanted to change how my hands looked, not one single bit. My feet though is another matter. My toes are long and thin also and although my feet are pretty to look at, the long toes make my feet very BIG. I wear 9 1/2, and its all toes! I can actually pick objects up easily with my feet--my mom says I'm like a monkey!
I don't have a lot of length between finger base and first knuckle (I'm talking about my hands) and CANNOT wear rings over a certain size. Smaller stones absolutely look better on my hands, because there's just no space there--it's not just me that thinks so, sales people also do and when I try on larger rings (over 1 carat) always tell me 'don't buy that'. I was trying on rings actually today and that was happening. On the other hand, I have a friend who is something like a size 4 finger size, and she can wear (in fact NEEDS to wear) big honkers. She has narrower fingers than I do, but a lot of length in that first joint that I don't have. I put on not very much of a ring at all, and the stone starts brushing my knickes and if I stack rings, they look jammed--if I want to wear to wear a big stone, I have to go to earrings or a necklace and that's just how it is.
