I'm loving the olive greens and peachy pinks! My colors! If I didn't already have Bals des Oiseaux in these colors (from 2014) I would jump on this one! I love BOTH and can see why you chose them. They look lovely on you!

Once the word "retro" is mentioned, I'm a goner! Both are truly lovely moma, a tough decision for sure. I do agree with others that the design and scale of the teal one is very different from your Soiree de Gala. I suppose if you decide to only keep one, then the retro colorway perhaps fills a gap?

Bova - I wanted to mention that the border is brown if brown is a concern!

Thank you for the compliment and the warning! My plan is for this to be my only CSGM this season, as I am planning to wear it with my black winter coat. Nearly all my other outer wear have zippers and/or velcro, and I am not going to bring such an expensive scarf near them.

I don't notice the brown feathers in this blue Plumes et Fete colorway. Overall, the number is fairly minimal. I think there needs to be a certain amount in order to get the contrasts needed. And, this way the scarf can be worn with gray, brown, tan or black outer garments. However, if they really bother you, I would love to see you model CW09. That was my second choice with those gorgeous reds and lavenders.

Thank you so much redbirdhermes. I am definitely considering CW09 or CW10. I just need to be able to see IRL I'm afraid. The blue one is beautiful, but I do think I would potentially be bothered by the brown portions and the brown toned hem. You will love yours I'm sure!

I can't believe a teal Soiree de Gala was issued in such a pretty shade of teal and I didn't know about it.
IMHO, the way the toucans is draped there isn't a lot of teal evident. I would guess from your coloring Moma, that teal would be a nice color for you. (If it's not a teal year, then it's going to be a navy blue year, as a general rule, so grab teal while you can. I am holed up with a great stash of teal anything).

Earlier this year, Eileen Fisher came out with some sportswear in cinnamon. It's a pretty color whoever does it. And, it's different. Just that alone inspires me.

I love this scarf with your gold dress. The scarf is sort of a golden brown/kinda copperish melange. Looks splendid on you!

The vieux rose, old rose, color in the first shot, and also in some of the following pix looks very close to me to be a cinnamon. I think of cinnamon generally as a pinky-brown fashion color. These soft colors are so terrific. (Who needs lime when they have vieux rose. Oops. I really didn't mean that ).

The colors are very similar. The Bals d O from 2014 is a whimsical design of individual birds with fern designs throughout. (Looks like a water color painting.) As much as I love the Toucans, I think the colors would compete too much with what I already own.
