Super interesting that they made this. They made a twilly of Kelly en Perles in 2011, I have one. Haven't seen twillies being re-issued before.
I wonder if the twillies are really good sellers? I’m not interested because I lived through the skirted suit era of the 1980s, and they look dated to me. But, I think the current generation of young women like them.

Visited my home store and another store today. Aside from CW 01 & 12 La Legende de la Foret, I am going to take them. CW 04, 07 and 08 are gorgeous. I would say never go wrong with this design, just take it!!!

A quick snap shot for La Danse des Amazones CW01, I love this design but I have too much red scarves. CW02 is very nice if you love neutral colour. I can’t stand for CW08. I really love this design, but cannot found my perfect CW, really struggling.

Thank you for these pictures! This design ties so wonderfully and colorway #01 is beautiful! I currently have the soft neutral colorway #02 and have decided it will go with my fall wardrobe really well.

Note sure — most people who buy twillies seem to be buying them as handle protectors. I suppose they are a good ‘starter’ scarf as they are cheaper.

What’s the connection to the skirted suit era? I was a bit lost there.

Don’t know for sure but as I lived through that too there was an abundance of ties, skinny scarves etc. that tried to make women look like men. In a skirted business suit. I shudder at some of my old photos in suits and ties when I worked for a staid Fortune 5 company!! Yikes.

I love twillys but yes for my bag handles or tying on a bag for fun.

I had dozens of silk ties that I wore with my business suits. Women in business in the 80s were advised to wear suits with skirts in order to get along with men, who were nearly always the bosses.

Yay! My online order arrived today. So surprised how much I love La Legende du Cheval a Plumes CW 17. Bought it on a whim as thought I would like CW 13 more. Showing both for reference. The blue on CW 17 is more of an azure blue than it appears on the website, which is perfect for me. And as always, the details of Ugo’s designs are so whimsical.

I got Toucans CW 01 - love the green but not 100% sure if I’m keeping just yet. Also got La Danse des Amazones CW 05, but this one will probably go back. Colors are great for fall, but I think the border is probably too big for me.

Thanks so much for sharing these pictures. I thought I wanted CW13 until I saw these pictures. Love the blue of CW17 much more.

I dont think it's going to be one of my favorites but you never know! My SA said they sold out of Plumes en Fete:sad:. Just happy to have any from 2020 at this point!.

I think that is a very striking design. I would be interested to see it modeled.

I figured Plumes en Fete would be popular. Nothing like a beautiful cloak of feathers for warmth.

They enjoy making things unattainable.
Yes, absolutely. Dumas freres consider it their purpose in life to create desire -- not necessarily to fulfill it, even if it means leaving people hanging. In fact, leaving people hanging is a key part of the process of creating desire. People want what they can't have. Psychologist B.F. Skinner found that pigeons fed intermittently went gaga over pressing a level that was supposed to produce food. If they were reliably fed food didn't generate the same interest and excitement. Meh, it's there, I'll eat later.
