Ooh, that jaune soufre Leopards Modernes is calling my name ....
Me, too!
I hope I won’t offend anyone here, but it looks like any typical paisley or pausley-style print. Maybe it will look better in person.

The story behind
The toucan, a climbing bird characteristic of tropical forests, is particularly prevalent in the Amazon. Here, illustrator Katie Scott, who is passionate about biology and renowned for her botanical and animal plates, presents an imaginary species. The birds chirp proudly – no doubt heralding a song that will make them the kings of the woods! Their decorative plumage, characteristic of the bird-of-paradise and the peacock, underlines their rarity and the exotic inspiration of their designer. These elements combine to form a marvelous painting tinged with naturalism.
What an adorable design! And the colors. :hbeat:
Ooh! La Danse des Amazones ticks all of my boxes! My love of Ancient Greek art. That helmet. The owl!

But which colourway to go with my new bag?

I chimed in earlier with CW 01. Maybe CW 02, also.

The story behind
Here, two famous scarves are combined into one, like a contemporary coat of arms. One half of the scarf presents a design by Christiane Vauzelles from 1967 in which two leopards frolic in a stylized natural setting. There is a clear harmony between these felines with mischievous grins, emphasized by the understated plant motifs and the symmetry of the design. On the other half, a collection of saddlery buckles designed in the late 1970s by Françoise de La Perrière pays tribute to Thierry Hermès, the Parisian harness-maker and founder of the House
Cws 05 and 06 are making me swoon.

The story behind
Inspired by a 17th-century engraving depicting a bird’s eye view of Paris, Octave Marsal reinvents the French capital’s streetscape. The original design was the work of Matthäus Merian the Elder, a Swiss-German copperplate engraver and publisher noted for his numerous editions of maps. With artistic license, Marsal maps the course of the Seine, the city walls and monuments of a dreamlike Paris, creating a Cité cavalière with the silhouette of a horse at its heart. The landmarks and the coat of arms of this imaginary city are clear to see, but a few secrets remain to be discovered… Can you spot the Faubourg store, the Colossus of Rhodes, a saddle, and a reference to the iconic Brides de gala?
This is fabulous!

Re a CSGM, perhaps Les Trophees? I see rich burgundy accents.

After checking out your new bag and the coat on your blog, I think I’d go with CW 01 of La Danse des Amazones. I like the cool greens with your coat better than the hot oranges in CW 06. Both colorways have the burgundy, and it would have been perfect if one of them had the lilac color of the lining. I’m looking forward to the pairing, but I suppose it may be weeks before we can get to these scarves.

The original version of this scarf was called 'Les Teckels' (dachshunds). Not sure why the re-issue is called 'Les Bassets', as it still depicts dachshunds and there are no Basset hounds to be seen.

Regardless of the title, I will have to get it in several CWs, I think

A must have for you dear Mai Tai. We should rename this scarf ‘The Wiener Boys’ in their honour
