I took a chance on ordering CW11 of Flowers of South Africa 140 cm silk from Hermes.com. The colors are Rose Indien/Vert/Rose Pale. The design is beautiful, but there are some surprises in the colors. I expected the fuchsia to be like Rose Tyrien, but it has more red. On the border, I was not expecting to see so much army green/khaki color. But it has areas of Vert Vertigo, Malachite View attachment 4847242and pale green areas. Rose Indien did not match any of the fuchsia and magenta colors in my wardrobe. But I found other colors that can go with the shawl.

Thank you for these pictures! You have so many clothes that look fantastic with this. I love every pictures, especially the one paired with your olive green embroidered coat. MAGNIFICENT! Congrats! The last picture is also fabulous with your mint green sweater!

Wow! Stunning! And goes so well with all of your tops. I’m going to have to learn that knot that you did in the second to the last pic too :-)

Ladybaga, thank you for your nice comment. I was pleasantly surprised that the shawl can go with so many colors.

K_alleycat2000, thank you. The knot you referred is easy. I folded the shawl into a smaller square. Then I fan folded it and used a scarf ring to hold the two ends. You can also just tie by hand.

Wow, you have tons of great things to match this beautiful scarf! I would love to know how you get that much fabric looking so fab as you did in the next-to-last pic. I recently got my first silk 140 so I will be studying all of your great knots!

Thank you Luvbolide for your compliments. I do not have much experience with 140 cm silk. I find it easier to knot if I fold it smaller first. The knot you referred to was folded into a smaller square first and then
fan folded. The end knot then held in place by a big figure 8 scarf ring.

I know this one has been posted before but I just received it this week. Just in case anyone is still tempted...
Gorgeous, 3kidsmakes5, it looks lovely and elegant on you. Your necklace is adorable - may I ask what brand it is?
Back to the scarf. I love everything about this carré - the design, the hem, the size, our beloved Philippe! I’m torn between the red/caramel, navy/cream hem cw, which is absolutely striking, and the fuscia/minty green cw, which is very pretty. My closet says don’t get another red 70, diversify, woman!, but my heart says go for it. Of course, only the fuscia and your navy are on the US website (foot stamp!).

Your pics are a wonderful essay on how this shawl can go from subdued elegance to bright wow. It’s very versatile. And quite lovely.
