Damn, that contrast hem is FIRE!!! This looks amazing on you in black!!
Thank you so much Joannadyne, I can't wait to see what you choose this season!
Fabulous mod shots. I appreciate the contribution of the yellow border much better now. Love your channeling of the H model outfit!
Thanks Langsam, I couldn't resist the H model outfit look, even though it wasn't the best combination with that particular scarf

Ok pursforumians - here goes.
The colors are breathtaking. only uncertain thing to me is the border that is quite wide with just the feather tip-thingies (I'm sure somebody has the proper biological term?) and also that it's quite contrasty? in terms of white-dark and also red-blue to me is quite energetic. So I feel like it's maybe a bit much? but then last time I said that was about cosmographia and that's now still pretty much my favorite scarf. so. I am leaning towards keeping it

Blydia - that is a knockout scarf, for sure. That said, I can see that it is a bit more high-contrast than a lot of the scarves you wear. And I agree, at the corners, especially, the borders do seem wide (in large part because of the lower contrast between the tips of the feathers and the background). It looks like in a couple of your shots it is possible to minimize that aspect. I could see you wearing it that way and then it growing on you so you were more comfortable wearing it to showcase the higher contrast.

Heck, you guys are even making me - who never wears purple - question whether I should pick it up! Good luck with your decision!

(And, yes, it is obviously completely different from your lovely phoenix. I confess every time you post your phoenix, I contemplate adding that csgm to my collection.)

I'd vote for keeping it! Colors look stunning and seem to match so well with the various blazers you've paired it with :)

First of all, let me say that this is a gorgeous shawl, and it certainly looks like it would fit in very nicely with your wardrobe. As I have been looking at the CW's online, the corners with the wispy feathers have been a concern to me as well. In some CW's there is almost no contrast, and therefore when tied certain ways can look like a single color only. In this case, this CW does appear to show some contrast on the corners which I know I would find helpful when tying this one. Having said that, you ultimately have to love it! Good luck with your decision

@blydia, it is a spectacular scarf in a dramatic color way. As a person who is not, ahem, very tall, I can understand how you feel about the pattern of this scarf in such a large, grand scale with such magnificent and intense colors. That said, perhaps this one is the CSGM that you choose to enjoy wearing gracefully tossed over your shoulder, as in the 2nd picture to the right, and in the middle picture (of the triptych image). When you wear it that way, it is so insanely gorgeous and elevated, that just seeing those two pictures of it on you makes me want to purchase it immediately for myself. As I am not a master scarf folder (so not!), I would simply wear it that way and be wonderful!

ETA: I love it next to your pinkish red slacks! Those slacks with a white shirt and that scarf; that's what Hermes magic is all about.

Finally the new scarves are available in Europe, too and I‘d like to share my „Danse des Amazones“ in CW01. It’s tricky to get the colours right, the hem is a true pink, the darkest red is a very deep brownish burgundy. The design folds like a dream and it was tremendous fun to try with different colours. So here we go...my first picture post :)

The shawl and the colorway are very flattering on you. It’s fabulous with denim. I say keep it!

It's so pretty! I think the the energy of the contrast is quite fun, and I don't think it's too overwhelming with the dark solid colors you've paired it with.
I do hear you on the border/wispy feather edges. I have a Plumes in 90, and I find that I prefer to fold it in such a way that the non-wispy feathered corner is most highlighted, especially when there's a bib. I imagine that this is even more of a concern in the larger size, when the borders are even larger, and in this particular cw, where the wispy feathers seem to be mostly gray. I guess it's a matter of how much it bugs you and how much you feel it limits the ways you can wear it.

The owl! The pomegranate! This seems like such a fun one to fold and find different elements to highlight!

I see what you mean. I generally prefer the pattern on my scarf to go straight to the hem, with no "border" (defined, or, like with the Plumes, undefined but with a large amount of background color). The plumes is one of my only scarves with a larger border. I've found that I prefer to tie it in ways the emphasize the middle and not the hem, because I don't always love the wispy feather. Maybe you can do that with your 140 cm as well? The colors you've paired it with are definitely the right colors for sure!
