I purchased a Chanel 2.55 from Eluxuryonline.com on January 2, 2009, took it to the Chanel Store. They Authenicated it and couldn't believe the price I paid for it. They did tell me that is came from a France store not a United States store. I'm happy. I was hestitant to order orginally but I'm glad I did. Reason being, I did not have $1800.00 to spend on a purse. As a rule of thumb, it's always told that Chanel, Louis Vuitton etc., don't sell the these type of retailers. Wholesaler's do purchase designer items at a discount. The reason why I decided to purchase from this site because they offered a 7 day money back guarantee, accepted all major credit cards and was registered with the Better Business Bureau.![]()
LOL Lori!
Another one!
I just want to add that Chanel boutiques do not "authenticate" handbags.
I rather hastily (ie. naively) jumped at a Gucci tote listed for $799 on Modabelle.com and then did some research (thank you, Purseblog) and took a closer look at their website and spotted several red flags - mispelling/grammar issues, a generic voicemail at the number listed, the fact that despite their claim to waive shipping for orders over $500 that I was charged $32.00 for shipping. I called and emailed within 24 hours asking that they cancel my order and that their site and lack of professional answering service, etc. made me wary. Well, they never charged my card for the order BUT they never replied to my emails or calls on the matter. Not a WORD. I am hoping I'm in the clear and my order was indeed cancelled but either way wanted to warn the community here that, while I don't have absolute proof that this site sells fakes, I do feel I dodged a bullet on this one. There is no way a legitimate company would have such poor customer service. This may be a given for all you bag pros out there but a word to all the babes in the woods like me: AVOID Modabelle.com Shaaaady!
thanks for the good sound advise!Sounds like you'll have to refuse the package, if they ever even ship it. Then have your credit card company do a chargeback.
For sure, contact modabelle anyway you can to tell them you will not accept the package so they may as well cancel the order now rather than try to send you a counterfeit.
Be sure to use the resourced tpf offers and authenticate next time before purchasing a bag- and don't be embarrassed, most of us have been there.....
Good luck to you!![]()
