A close friend of mine in Greece, rented 2 Hermes bags from this scammer greek website that rents designer bags called : www.starbags.gr
A Kelly bag : http://www.starbags.gr/product/kelly-tampa-dermatini-3194.htm?lang=el&path=-1060198172
and a Birkin bag: http://www.starbags.gr/product/birkin-35-mauri-dermatini-3189.htm?lang=el&path=1892566244
She paid 570euro to rent for both bags but was suspicious. So she took detailed photos and sent them to an authentication service in France. First they told her the Kelly was FAKE and now she is waiting for an answer for the birkin too.
They are scammers! They blend some original designer bags and some vintage they sell, with FAKE HERMES BAGS that they rent for the big bucks. My friend was disgusted when she realized she paid over 500euro to rent FAKE Hermes, perhaps chinese bags.
We would really appreciate that with your experience you could help us on this case.
Please give us your opinion and also raise awareness for matters like that because my friend and probably a lot of other people lost and will lose hard earned money on fake bags. What a scam!![]()
By the way,
As anyone bought from www.lux-a-porter.com?
It looks really good, items seems auth. and the description look pretty honest. I saw an add on Facebook and they are running a Spring Sale which ends in 3 days and they offer a welcome coupon of 15%...
Can you please give your opinion? Thanks
Hi ladies,
Needing some advise, anyone used Amuze.com? Looking to buy a mulberry bag from there but cant find any reviews? Thanks!
Hello! I'm new to the bag community and was wondering if anyone recommends shopping at Ann's Fabulous Finds.
Hi everyone,
I am not sure if this is the right forum so please tell me where else to go if this is the wrong place. So.. I purchased a Chanel Bag from Ebay a few months ago, its very very old. I got cold feet once we were wrapping up the deal and asked the seller could I cancel I was scared of authenticity. She sent me an email from etinceler authentications stating authenticity, SO I proceeded, I love the bag although very old and has a bad smell. I decided to sale for same price to a friend. She sent to leather surgeons to get cleaned but they said the bag was fake. I feel so bad, so I searched here, and I see people recommend Etinceler. I searched them and also saw they were reputable. I have 2 refutable companies, 1 stating real the other stating fake. Any opinions here?? Is one more reliable than the other.
Hi, they sell second hand items and it's best to authenticate before buying. See the authentication threads in the designer forums here.
I'd honestly go with Leather Surgeons in this instance as they had the opportunity to touch/feel the bag. Furthermore, Gerry was utilized by Chanel directly as their North American sales rep for the past 20 years which gives him a bit more weight IMO.Hi everyone,
