I purchased my zip clutch from him and he was fantastic. It was 100% authentic. Super fast communication too. He also has one of those 1 cent auctions that details what a real STAM should look like. I do not know what an authentic hudson should look like though.

[SIZE=-1]*IMPORTANT NOTE* LAMPO makes two different types of zippers. One of them is is embossed on the zipper, written in italics with a "lightning bolt" underneath extending from the "L", and the TM symbol in the upper right corner. The other one is engraved on the zipper, printed in uneven capital letters. The first one is the one that is being used on some of the newer MJ bags. The second type is no longer being used, however, it was used during the 2002/2003 Seasons on at least two different styles of bags. One style was a series of calf leather bags with small silver snaps on the front pockets. There were approx 3 or 4 different style bags like this, in various colors (navy, coral, ivory, yellow, pale pink), and they all look very similar to the one pictured below. The other was the padlock hobo (photographed below). To the best of my knowledge, these are the only bags that I know of that ever used this type of Lampo zippers. Although both types of Lampo zippers are authentic, authentic Marc Jacobs bags are currently using the first one only.

The padlock hobo she refers is the Ava bag, although I've also heard it referred to as the Maggie bag. I don't know why she has the Lampo zipper shown twice with one stating incorrect. I think it was a mistake on her part.

The only other MJ items I know that have the upper cap Lampo are the new zip clutches. ccracmill verified this at an MJ boutique recently.

The Maggie has two handles and the Ava only has one. Here is a pic of my AVA.

Thithi, I always wondered why one of those pics were labeled wrong. That is why I always questioned the lampo zipper in my purse.

I agree, I think he is a good seller. He mainly does electronics but dabbles in MJs. And the details on the Hudson bag are pretty good. I would think most fakes would get something wrong but there's nothing fake looking about it. PM one of the other members with a Hudson to confirm.

I think I know which zip clutch you were talking about. I was going to buy it cause he's been relisting it several times. I guess I was waiting too long :p. It's ok though, I got the zip clutch that I really wanted :love:. Good to know that he's a good seller though I have to agree with elongreach that the price he's listed is still a bit pricey. At least it is authentic.

I don't think I'm gonna buy another handbag anytime soon :laugh: I just splurged on my first stam, though the Hudson bag is very tempting.

OIC! Now I get it. Hmm.. The bags are so similar except for the handles. Does your bag come with two keys? You may have to rely on instinct.. Does the topsitching and the leather look good? Does the interior tag have Marc Jacobs only? If so, then look for the made in italy stamp. If you have photos, post them!

yes, i think he is a good seller....and a diehard MJ fan. the reason being is that he is ALWAYS posting a weekly auction just to inform people about fake vs. real stams in the past 6 months or more. He even says in this auction: 'dont bid!' So no worries w/this guy. :supacool:

Thithi: What is the official name of that white purse in the pic above that you posted about the lampo zippers? looks like a versionof the anouck. Also thanks for the tutorial about lampo zippers!! that topic always confused me. :shrugs:
