The NM may look different because of the way the top is pushed down for the photo. I have a MJ Polina that looks different IRL than NM photo on the website.

I think i am falling in love w/the mj anouk style bag. What characteristics do i look for when looking for an authentic, e.g. interior material, inner metal plate, zipper shape, riri/lampo, etc, etc? Besides the usual silver pushlock on the 2 exterior front pockets, were there other styles of closures? Also any idea of all the colors that came out in this style?

I have been looking at this bag on EBay for just an everyday, "knock around" bag...the price is right and it looks like it is in good shape other than some marks on the lining,l which I would try to clean.
The listing doesn't give a style or color name, but it says the bag has Riri zippers. I e-mailed the seller for a picture of the underside of the zipper, but she replied her digital camera was with her husband and son on a trip and she wouldn't have it back until tomorrow (after the listing ends). Other than that, however, she was very helpful in answering my other questions (where she got the bag, etc...)
Does this bag appear to be authentic? Does anyone know the color or style names?

Hi Madie, I used to have an anouck before in berry color. The inner lining is made from cotton. The zipper is riri. Here are some pictures of my anouck berry. It will give you better idea what it looks like. Besides berry, I know Anouck comes in periwinkle, seafoam, petunia, black, and ivory. I'm sure there are more colors. i've always loved the classic berry and violet mj colors. also thanks for the links too! i already have 2 purses in seafoam, so am going to be on the look-out for other colors.
so MJ only used the typical silver pushlock fasteners ? i've seen another anouck style where the pockets are rounder (almost like the quinn) and the fasteners were round as a button. Does that sound a bit familiar...maybe an earlier marc jacobs anouck? any thoughts, chloe.clementine or anyone?

Hey Tia, no problem at all. I'm glad that I can help. Not all MJ uses the pushlock. For example quinn or soft satchels don't use pushlock. Unfortunately, I don't knowif Anouck has ever been made differently that I used to have. You can see this link to see some MJ rare/discontinued styles.

The leather is wrong? I personally think that the leather on the straps and down the front of the bag is different to that on the sides....the leather on the sides feels almost spongy...how does a real stam's leather feel?
