Authenticate This Marc Jacobs

I don't see wrinkley textures (must-have in MJ's authentic Ursula items - wallets & bags) in this bag. Be extremely careful with Ursula items, I have seen the faked ones with receipts here:

Does this look like a real Anouck? It looks real to me but I don't know if it was actually made in this color:

Hi there, fellow jewelry and MJ bag lover!

Ok, without a better photo, I can't tell. The color looks a lot like the wine color that MJ used in Fall 03. But if it was from that collection, it should have pale pink fabric lining and contrast stitching in the same pale pink color. The leather looks a bit off in the photo, but the hardware looks right. However, I've noticed that the "new Anouk" is one of the most faked MJ bags on ebay. So be very careful, and get a lot of additional photos.

I had to review vogue's page, but in it she states that this particular style was never made in black. She also has a photo similar to your auction. Here's the link:

It does indeed look real though, from the zipperhead to the tags.
Perhaps call MJ and ask if this style ever came in black, possibly as a Limited Edition?

Yes, I was using vogue1966's page as reference as well, and the statement to which you refer also had me a bit nervous...

However, after checking with another member of this forum who has helped me authenticate MJ before, I learned that this bag was produced in black later on. The vogue1966 page does not reflect this update yet, as I imagine the need for updating is constant and a lot to keep up with.

I have been assured that this bag is indeed the genuine article - Woo-hoo!

I don't know....I just came across that too, the 2 front pockets reminded me of Fendi's B.Bag (<--- love it). If this style was made, I really don't like it.

Good to know! I'm not good with the quilted or elises. Just wanted to check because I don't often see blush fakes.

That handmade bag is definitely fake, the plaque shouldn't be on top of leather.. but it's cute. Does it say anywhere in the auction that it's suppose to be authentic? Or is it a DIY?
