Just trying to learn here-but, I looked at the pics and thought it was real also-the one thing that threw me off was the fact that the zipperheads say "riri" but underneath that it says "swiss'. I personally haven't ever seen that on a zipperhead before and maybe that is why the OP of this thought it was a fake?

I figured it was either that or the cloth lining with the MII tag. Anyways, Riri Swiss zipper heads are correct for older MJ bags.

thanks, Melly. It was the "made in italy' tag sewed in by itself. I'm not familiar with Venetias I guess. (told you I was apprentice) :)

Don't worry, you'll pick up the basics in no time. :flowers: Just so you are aware, with some exceptions (mainly in the 2004 lines) bags produced in 2004 or earlier have Made in Italy stamped into the suede or on tags sewn into the lining.

Is that little metal dot thing a sign that it's been refurbished?

Yep. It means it was either a used customer return or a bag that has been refurbished. NR does get some bags in that have not been used or refurbished but they do not mark them with a stud like that.

There is nothing wrong with buying or selling a used or refurbished bag (I have done both) but it is dishonest to claim that it is new/never carried. :nogood:

I never get to see MJ at the NR on Long Island. I 100% agree about the lying. Or even if you use it 2 times, just say so. Nothing wrong with that!
