This Black Blake is listed as Fall 2006 item (price increased to $995USD; Spring 06 Blake's $975USD). Fall 2006's Black Soft Calf styles have dark grey stitching & grey suede lining. Assuming that the studs are placed on items sold at outlets, why would Fall 06 Blakes (still being sold in stores) be there so soon? And Black (a color that hardly goes on sale)? Why are the pictures dated 1/11/2005?

With ebay, I personally would be extremely careful. I wouldn't be so generous and make up excuses for sellers. If the pictures aren't good enough (blurry pics of important details - actual color, hardware, etc), I would pass. I don't know about this particular seller, there are many cases of other sellers using/stealing up-close pictures of real stuffs. Even if the seller is legit, there are times where replicas got in by mistake -- this is very common for consignment shops.

Notice how blurry the pictures are of this Celine bag (a classic!). Unless the seller can provide better pictures, there is no way I would bid. The pictures of this listing are dated 10/19/2006.

For any item (including the Black Blake), I would recommend asking the seller for better pictures so that you feel confident enough to bid. If the seller isn't willing to provide them, it's better/safer to stay away. There are many members being sold fakes, sent items not being depicted, etc.

Katerina, I can only give you my opinion based on the pictures in the listing. I can't guarantee that the pictures are of the bag you will get.

But I do love this bag, everything about it, the price is reasonable, bag.lover is sure it's authentic, and I've been wanting an MJ bag for a long time, so I think I've convinced myself. I am going to buy it.

I remember that Chalk Bowler (from Spring 2006), I don't know whether it was sent to outlet by mistake or not. How many people were able to come across those at outlets? I admit that I am not a deal hunter like many members here, $200-$300 MJ bags are never within my reach (ebay or not).

My point is that a Fall 06's Soft Calf Blake (especially Black) is fairly recent. Possible to find it at this price? Maybe, but whoever's interested needs to ask for better pictures. This blurry picture (from the listing) is not acceptable at all! Is the suede lining suede as it is supposed to be? Is the plaque correct? I really don't know & don't want to guess nor make excuses for any seller.

As of now, I still refuse to believe that an authentic & used Stam can be found on ebay for $200-$800.

As for the date, I would def question that with the seller... although if someone doesn't set the time/date on their camera it will automatically be set for the year it was made, including when they run out of batteries...

^ I read from TFS that an authenic Petrol Stam went for ~$4000USD on ebay earlier this year. All Fall 05 Stams (suede lining, antique hardware) are very rare & hard to come by, they don't sell for a few hundred dollars. Stams from that season were sold out every where when they debuted, people had to go on waiting lists just to get one, ...

Ebay/ioffer/etc are flooded with replicas from that season. It's definitely possible to find other Fall '05 styles (such as Multipocket, Cammie, etc) in Petrol for a lot less than their original prices b/c they weren't as popular. Petrol worked for Stam more than other styles.

i've been in and out saks and NM hoping one day will bump into one but never got the luck~guess i'll call the store up and see how long is the waiting list:crybaby:
