Hard to tell if it's real, looks ok but I'd have to see add'l photos to confirm, like the zipperhead and the serial tag. MJ did make the hobo with chain straps, not sure if it's resort or fall 05. It's a pretty bag, but I wonder how the double chains would feel on the shoulder...

I have e-mailed the seller requesting additional pictures of the season/style tag and the underside of the zipper head. I'll post them when I get them.

Color-wise, which Indigo do you like better? The Blake has green stitching/lining and the Tote has maroon stiching/lining?

The original Hobo Bananas come with those shoulder straps, they were made in both Fall 05 and Resort 05. The chains get replaced by the flat leather shoulder strap starting Spring 06. For Resort 05, Hobo Bananas were made for 2 lines: Quilted Leather and Quilted Denim.

Janice: The Maroon Venetia (from Fall 2004) is absolutely gorgeous. I would definitely get this brand-new one if I didn't buy a gently used one a few months ago; I paid around $500 for mine.

Janicemph, there's not enough photos in the 2nd listing with the white venetia. I can't really see the nameplate nor the zipperheads, but it's strange that the first photo looks different from the rest of the photos. The contrast stitching stands out in all except that first one. I checked the seller's listings, she has two other Venetias in Zebra and Grass green, and both look pretty good...
