bag.lover thanks for all your help... i dont think im going to chance it on ebay. i'll have to save the extra hundred or so and go pick it up myself.

the interent is so scary!! i cant believe fakers wouldnt just take their own photos- not only are the scammers but they are LAZY! ha

As for this graphite MP, it looks real to me. You could always for additional photos of the zipperhead to confirm.

Thanks thithi. I needed a second opinion. For some reason I feel the bag in the pictures is real but there is something about the auction i dont like. I think i'll pass...:flowers:

Another possiblity is that some sellers get their stuffs from the same supplier who provided these stock photos. From our stand point, these replicas are easy to spot compared to listings with stolen pictures of authentic items (think twice if it's true good to be true).

Many replica sellers state that their stuffs are just copies of the actual items, buyers know what they are getting. With ebay, most sellers knowingly list these copies as 100% authentic. Using receipts, tags with store labels, and stolen pictures to mislead buyers further are unforgivable!!!!

The good thing is that not all ebay sellers are bad, there are some reliable and trustworthy sellers left. =)

Can someone help me please! I just put a MJ on hold at a local resale store that swears they inspect their items for authenticity to the best of THEIR ability and full issue a refund if proven to be a fake, but I'd like to save the time and money. I don't have a pic or the name of the bag, but I can describe it:

It is a very deep red bag with two zippers on the top that meet in the middle- the zippers are leather one has an M and one has a J embossed in them. The bag is similar to a bowler, but is more rectangular and has two side pockets (about cell phone size). I believe MJ was embossed in the leather wither on the side pocket closures or on a pocket. It fit under the shoulder but wasn't so big it couldn't also work as a handbag. The inside had the metal Marc Jacobs plate. I remember being hesitant bc the inside was nothing special. I'll have to look tomorrow when I go to get the bag (or tell them it's a fake), but I thought it was a dark canvas-silky type material. The leather seemed thick and nice with a slight bit of slouch to it.

Please, this will be my first MJ and i don't want it to be a fake! If you're not sure about the bag, could you at least help me out with the zippers- I've only seen metal ones. Did they make leather ones? Thanks sooo much!
