Comments: Do you think this bag is fake? Thanks in advance

Looks authentic to me

Agree it looks good so far, but would like to see clear pics of the whole bag, the bottom of the bag, and the inside tag to be sure. The shots she's using are too tight to get a feel for the whole thing.

Hi ladies

Please help to authentic this bag..

Item: Mansur Gavriel Mini Bucket in Black/Flamma

Pictures of the bag was sent from the seller to me in a local platform here. She sells it for SGD550 (~USD410), used for ~6 months and ordered from MG website itself. The gold brand name on the bag has been faded since the bag has been regularly cleaned and conditioned with cream as per the seller's claim, she said she probably cleaned it in a wrong way. Other than that, condition seems good. Does it look real to u? Also, it seems like there's no made in italy tag inside, seller said she bought it around 1 year ago.

Oh no, I just saw this post and it looks like the ebay link I just posted above might be from the same seller, also in Singapore. She also mentioned the brand name being faded and she is selling it for awfully cheap. I don't want to say anything definitively since I don't know for sure, but just a word of warning to watch out for anyone else buying MG from Singapore on ebay.

Hi all,

New to this forum and I'm in the market for a MG. Found this bag just posted today: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mansur-Gavr...t-/301659531368?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

I messaged her and she said that the brand has rubbed off, and it's definitely used but still in good condition. That seemed very sketchy to me...has the MG brand rubbed off for anyone??

Thanks in advance!

"Good condition" and "brand has rubbed off" does not make any sense to me! I hate that people are using that. It would take a good amount of effort to rub the brand name off. And I feel that it would have to be done on purpose. First and last pic are not hers, I believe (the first for sure isn't). No original dust bag, but she'll provide another? Too sketchy all around! And it sold, unfortunately.

Comments: I sent a question to the seller asking if there is a "Made in Italy" tag in the bag, she said there is none.
I think the lack of the Made in Italy tag is a pretty sure sign it's fake. Also the stitching on the bottom looks very uneven. I've seen a lot of sellers say things like "I have no idea about this brand." Seems to be eBay code for "this is fake but I want to seem like an innocent clueless seller."

Any thoughts on this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mansur-Gavr...123?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43de2f42fb

It's a bit scratched up but comes with tags and a dust bag, and I have been having a lot of trouble finding the Ballerina. :(

Thanks for your input, I was thinking the same thing. They have tags for all of their bags. I even had the one that was made in China in their earlier production before they moved to Italy. I think the Black/Ballerina bag is good, I feel good about it because the tags and dust bag accompanies it and the company name stamp looks good. I saw a counterfeit one on EBay that looked pretty bad (and they actually tried to print the company name on it). It looks pretty good for a used bag. I cringed when I got my first scratch (like when you have your first ding on a new car) but this leather looks actually really good as it ages and the scratches don't bother me anymore.

I already posted this in the fake thread. I also contacted the seller about listing items that you arent sure if they are real or not is against ebay rules and the response.. She gave me the dimensions of the bag. ?? I've tried to report it a few times, we need others to report these fakes.

Based on this listing, I would not have bought this bag.

Please use correct format shown on page 1 of this thread for future requests. Thanks!

Authentic bags can come from Asia.
