I just noticed two other detail while comparing the photo of "your" bag with mine:

The inseam on the bottom of the bag looks totally neat in my bag. On your photo the seam in the inside is kind of uneven or bumpy and not really symmetric. I do not know how I can explain better. Hope you understand what I mean.

Also the color irritates me. The red looks slightly orange. I had the black/flamma bucket here in original before I sold it and the red was a really deep red with no touch of orange in it.
That could relate to the camera because photographing red can be challenging but I just wanted to let you know.

Thank you dear! [emoji4]

Okay the missing tag is weird. Did she say it never had a tag? Maybe she bought it also pre-loved and somebody removed it without letting her know and she did not know or didn't want to tell you? Just an idea...

But if you want my opinion: I would wait, stalk NAP and watch out for a bag which is clearly original. If you buy this and still have the slightest doubts it will always diminish your satisfaction about the purchase.

Thanks for all advices :) i guess i need to keep hunting then

Hey! I just bought this from a friend and I'm having sudden anxiety that it's fake. It came with a very faded receipt from Bergdorf. Since I did not get it online I can't give an item number, seller, or link. However it is a large flamma/black calf leather bag and the numbers on the receipt match the numbers on the tag. You said the numbers match the tag-do you have the tags? Can you post a clearer picture of the tag in the bag and some clearer photos overall?

Here's a picture of the tag. I can get more pics of the inside in a bit. Thankfully it has the made in Italy tag. Thanks so much for responding! Edit: added new pics

Why do you suspect it to be fake?

Nothing about the structure of the bag itself does. It's just that I got it for only $400 (well under retail) which suggests that my friend doesn't know much about the bag and may have gotten it from a sketchy source (the name on the receipt isn't hers). If nothing looks off to you guys, I'd be happy to accept that it's authentic!

If it is a friend maybe she just sold it for a fair amount instead of demanding an astronomical price like some do on Ebay. [emoji6]

To me 400 are a totally reasonable amount for a pre-loved handbag which costs new 500 $ - as long as you ignore the fact that some try to enrich theirselves with the bucket bags.

If I were you I would thank her and enjoy the new bag. Obviously friendship is more important to her than earning 100 or 200 bucks. [emoji4]

It actually came brand new which is why I was so shocked! There were just so many fakes the flooded the market I was just worried the poor girl had been duped and was unintentionally selling me a fake bag. But no authenticity red flags that I'm missing?

To me it looks perfect. The faded print would not bother me. This is pretty normal for thermoprinted paper and it is why I make copies or ask for an invoice when I am buying in stores and maybe need a proof some months later.
