Sure is quite here. Hope someone can help me authenticate this vintage beauty. If you know the name and age too I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much!

I can't read the tag, what does it say? Is it Linea Pelle on there? Haven't seen that style before. It is very pretty, and in good shape.

Hi! Can you authenticate this GW find for me? I searched but found nothing that looks the same. Thanks!

Hi Bigal-- I saw this "anonymous" bag in that other forum we are both part of. I love a good mystery and a little search work so I looked up some stuff while I was searching for my own info on the above bag. Yours seems to be made by Linea 86 Pellateria which is registered to a street address in Florence Italy-- a mecca for amazing leather studios. There are several other Bay listings for that label and they have labels that are more easily read but definitely the same as yours. LP seems to be only a recently emerging company and according to their website they were founded in NYC and since relocated to LA-- but no Italy. They claim they use "Italian leathers" but a quick check on Amazon shows their production (at least in part) is in China. I think the bag you have is very special and was handmade by a small leather workshop in Florence (Firenze) and was undoubtably not inexpensive.

I am no expert, especially not on Linea Pelle, but I enjoy the quest to solve a puzzle like yours. Hope that helps and that I am not out of line!

Thank you so much for the info you found! I do really appreciate it! It is a puzzle and I was so attracted to the shape. I'm glad I got it and that it was made in Florence is a huge bonus! So interesting!
