I totally agree, they shouldn't cheat people by selling fake and says it is authentic..
The seller even listed that it's 100% authentic but when I confront the seller whether the bag is authentic, he/she never reply my message..
Luckily, I haven't pay for it yet since I doubt the bag after bumped into one of Lanvin's thread about how they could make a real fantastic replica on these bags..

If I want to report this seller to e bay, it is going to be a long process and troublesome? :confused1:

Because I don't want any other to face the same dilemma which I have been through from this seller, and I am pretty sure that he/she will sell a fake bag again in the future.. :mad:

thanks for starting this thread about Lanvin. i've always been a fan of lanvin but sad that we don't have a forum for it.
about the gray bag (i know i think i am many months too late...but i love to talk lanvin :p)...the lanvin coin really tells the difference. i think i read it somewhere...i can't remember that HW is the hardest thing to fake. b/c it's metal work and the factory need a perfect mold/template to reproduce. so when i was authenticating at ysl forum...i always asked for hw blow up pictures. that's the only way i could tell. the fake ones are always smaller or lighter. so it can be hard to tell on computer...but once you hold it in your hands....it can be easy to tell if you've seen it before.
i once bought a bbag on ebay...brand new one for 500....when i looked at the bag...it looked almost real. but when i compare to the real thing...the bag was lighter, the leather was stiffer and the HW was smaller (the zipper w/ lampo logo was smaller)...etc....but i couldn't tell until i saw the real deal.
just want to share.

Yes your handbag looks completely fine. You shouldn't be paranoid. The bag is likely made of soft calf or lambskin making it lightweight. Just be cautious. Some online resellers use different photos than what they are actually shipping.

The 2nd option at $1980 is sold at that exact price from the Lanvin boutique. You should just order it from the Lanvin boutique getting the assurance that it is actually an authentic product. As for the "shopinforbes" the proportions of the bag look a little off to me, but it simply could be the photos and angles.

The quilted proportions (with the size of the bag) look very off. I would be cautious. The grosgrain ribbon is not ironed out and clean as it should be. Real Lanvin Amalia bags have the distressed grosgrain ribbon that is crunched and slightly frayed, even on the $25,000 crocodile Amalia tote. Trust me. Plus the coin charm color is completely off and not the metal finish it should be. Beware.

What year was this bag from? The Lanvin "Happy" bag does not usually come with a bag zipper pocket so this is concerning. Also, the leather on this looks bogus. I would try and get more information. Where he bought it, and what year.

Hi girls and guys,

I just received a cancellation from Barneys in regard to the Lanvin Happy GM Buffalo Bag I'd just thought I'd purchased - seems they were out of stock before they accepted my order, so I'm slightly heart broken.

I am finding it difficult finding the same bag anywhere else, so I decided to look on eBay, but the only thing I've ever bought from eBay were Jaffa Cakes ;), so spending a thousand + dollars on something that might not be authentic, is scary.

So I jumped the gun and bought this Lanvin Happy off of eBay... but now I'm having second thoughts as to its authenticity. :shucks: I haven't been able to find a picture of any bag that looks remotely like it, but I don't know if it's because the bag is an older style or what?
