Wondering about authenticity of a JC charm that came with a bracelet I recently purchased. (Note the charm did not come in a box, I used another charm's box for photo purposes). It looks a little worn from use and a bit tarnished (?) in one spot. Can/do authentic JC charms tarnish?

Juicy Couture charms are gold plated, but they do tarnish, depending on the environment. Some collectors keep them in their boxes, partly for this very reason.

So was this key originally sold with the bracelet? I know from experience that some bracelets and necklaces did come with a key charm. Some are removable with the regular clasp and some are mounted permanently on the piece.

I've never seen this key IRL, but it looks authentic to me.
I saw one just recently in this completed auction from a reliable ebay seller, see below.

The seller said that it did not originally come with the bracelet, rather she just placed a random charm on it to include with the auction.

Also, thanks for the info regarding tarnishing. I'm just getting started on my JC collection (yay for another thing to obsessively collect!), so it's good to know!
