Hello Ladies,

I have a general question on "how to" authenticate scarfs.
Here goes... Would creased/ wrinkles on the scarf be a possible sign that the scarf is a fake? (cause is supposedly wearing it in a twisted style)
Also, have any of you ever seen a "fake" Ex-Libris en Kimonos...seems really difficult to pull off considering the details.
Thanks for your time :smile1:

the folds of a scarf won't tell you anything (and I am well aware that 'how to spot fakes-guides exiist, which tell you exactly that). I own many boutique bought ones, which are folded wrong. when it comes to pre-owned items, the scarf may have been dry-cleaned and folded 'wrong'.
ELEK has been faked. Not really surprising given the demand for the design. If you have a question about a specific item, please post a link or pictures of the item in question. hope this helps.

The chevaux de France looks both authentic and funny to me , maybe it is just the photos
I have that cw and it is more of a red , it looks dark orange to me in those photos, it is just way too orange for my taste in the photos
And I don't remember those papers tags at the time, mine had a laminated one

paper tag looks like a Japanese one. Have also seen them on sales items (both in French and Japanese). They would not have the colorway on it, just say 'Carré 90'
and funny what screen settings do - on my screen it looks a bright red ... :smile1:

Hello,

Can someone assist in an authentication on the below? As always, thanks very much!:smile1:
Item - Yoeh Bag Taurillon Clemence Black Square I

If you could reread the first post in this thread, you will see that it is the authenticators' preference to provide this free advice for members who contribute broadly to the forum and do not merely ask for authentication. While I can appreciate that this may be your primary PF interest, I hope you can also understand our position.

Many thanks for your understanding.
